The White Sox have had 5 managers in the last 12 years.

Thread title says it all. I wonder how hard it would be for any team to succeed when there's a new coach every 2.4 years on average.

I could've said 6 managers if I wanted to split hairs.

Are you counting Don Cooper for two games? Or just counting Ozzie's last year instead of his whole tenure? Another way of counting is they've had 6 full-time managers in the last 25 years.

Look at the list for:  Cleveland, KC, and Minnesota over the same time span.

Sox have CLEARLY had an issue with burning through managers. I don't give a s%*# how you include Ozzie/Cooper, the point still stands on the data and the data is clear cut.

Why is there a cross next to TLR? Was he really dead this entire time and they just propped his corpse up in the dugout?

The Sox have had seven managers during this period.

Miguel Cairo managed 34 games with an 18-16 record. Tony La Russa was a loser in 2022, going 64-66 before stepping down for a health issue, and then resigning.

In those 12 years there have been only 3 winning seasons (one of which was the 60 game season) and one .500 season, and they reached the playoffs twice. I think that explains why there have been 5/6 managers in that period. If any one of them had been consistently winning then they wouldn't have been replaced

JR would 💯 agree with you. He never should have let Tony go the first time.

Notice most of these stiffs were out of baseball quickly after leaving the Sox. Another fact to show how shitty this franchise is.

Well we now know replacing the players hasn't worked,

replacing the coaches hasn't worked,

and replacing the manager hasn't worked.

So...what does that leave???

The goddamn parking lot attendants gotta go
