His arm speed on that changeup is absolutely incredible.  It looks exactly like his fastball. He might have the best changeup I've ever seen.

I watched every video I could find on him and I'd agree. Maddux probably has the best I've seen because of the movement, but Thorpe's arm action is unreal.

Give me a pitcher like this 10/10 times over a “pitcher” like Kopech. It’s fun to throw 100+ but if you have no idea where it’s going and have no secondary pitches who gives a s%*#.

It's all about how a batter perceives pitches.  As Kopech shows you can throw 100 and MLB can kill you.

88-90 as a RHP is different than sitting 92-93.

This will work, but if his fastball backs up it becomes trouble.

Where did this 88-90 to come from?

Lopez sucks

Overreaction Theater

Gotta love the automatic out with Maldanado….should have pinch hit for him already.

Nothing helps a young pitcher quite like a catcher who is the worst hitter in the history of baseball.

Lopez is awful and somehow next guy is worse.

Last I looked, baseball savant lists Kopech's fastball as below average despite the velocity.

That's my all-star

ITS A MIRACLE!!!!

Damn those glasses are really working!

I can't believe my eyes.

Thorp has good action on it too.  Looks like he can fade it or sink it.  Damn he's gonna be fun to watch.

Can't really count on wins, anymore; the White Sox have been shut out once in the last 36 games.

Don't worry, neither can Maldonado

I would have thought Schriffen would be more excited for that Maldonado rbi hit to break the hitless streak

Which is the whole point. Velocity without deception is batting practice

Why are you coming up with the bases loaded and swinging at the first two pitches out of the zone? They just have no strategy.
