April 19, 2025Apr 19 https://soxmachine.com/2025/04/white-sox-minor-keys-april-18-2025 Does anyone have the energy left to care anymore? How tone deaf can one malaise-bound organization possibly be? Are they deliberately attempting to alienate fans like Fisher did with the A's in order to justify a relocation due to "lackluster fan support"?

I would say 'unbelievable' but sadly with this organisation it is all too believable.

The immediate impact would be felt on Owen White or Chris Rodriguez at Charlotte...unless they're planning to bring Justin Dunn up soon. Nastrini and Iriarte have both been pretty darned bad out of the gate. Edited April 19, 2025Apr 19 by caulfield12
April 19, 2025Apr 19 Yes!!! Haha.....this is just in case anyone had any illusion that the front office gave one single f*** about White Sox fans.

It is getting more and more like the film Major League, maybe if they got a cardboard cut out of Getz in the locker room it would inspire them!
April 19, 2025Apr 19 I'm seriously trying to figure out why? The upside isn't that great. I laughed at first that he was blackmailing someone in the organization but that's looking actually possible. Just when I thought @Balta1701would be back.
April 19, 2025Apr 19 Let him rot in AAA’s rotation (at most) after the promotion of someone else. Honestly, chances are he gets injured again himself. Edited April 19, 2025Apr 19 by Bob Sacamano
April 19, 2025Apr 19 Author The Knights almost lost their ninth in a row last night, but pulled it out in the end. So Clevinger will fit in perfectly.

With Perez now having the dreaded forearm tightness and all the TJ surgeries already, I'm guessing with a long season to go that the starting pitching depth is kaput. They just want inning from him that have to be covered.

That’s exactly what’s happening in regards to deliberately alienating what’s left of the fan base. I truly believe we are seeing the last days of the franchise in Chicago. April 19, 2025Apr 19 I guess they were hoping to get the same guy when Cease had that great year. He was good but got hurt. He's been injured to much at his age to make a comeback. Career starters don't make good pen guys either. Sox always gambling that .0001% will happen.

Clevenger's the mangy dog hanging around your back door. You feed him, he's yours. Everybody else knows to shoo him away.

This is an absolutely pathetic organization.
April 19, 2025Apr 19 Feels like you kind of have to. He cleared waivers; no longer in the 40 man. You're paying him the $1.5M anyway. Not exactly flush with starters after all the injuries. Someone's gotta start games if more injuries happen.

His 5.75 ERA isn't going to be the difference between setting our own record or winning 50 games this season. f*** this stupid ass franchise.
