4th in mlb in scoring in first two innings is a wild stat for the Sox

I saw that that's crazy. I think it's a good first step

Schriff it was already broken open. Adding two runs to a 6 run lead is not breaking it open.

Lol damn you guys are hard on Schiff. I'm sure when he gets some experience he'll make better choices on how he phrases things like using pouring it on it that instance.

He's got a great job that most of us dont have the right voice ,or vocal inflections or the right attitude needed to be a PBP guy.

Sox are on their way. Quero is the next Salvy Perez. He's only 22 and raking. He ain't going anywhere for 10 years. Now we got a SS in Workman. This Cannon guy turns in a performance. With Quero's emergence this team is already better than last year's wretched squad. When Elko comes up, another bat.

If JR still has the club and the kid does well he'll be traded since JR won't meet his salary demands.

Have to continue to be "fiscally responsible" you understand.

Pretty big indictment of the bullpen and late innings defense, RISP, overall fundamentals/execution but not getting blown out nearly as often.

Today, Taylor was the big offensive star and that doesn't help the team all that much.

I'd make a winner thread but it's a bit late now. A rousing victory and a pleasant well played game by the Sox. A rarity. This was the first time I could squint and see Getz's vision for this transition year squad. It's a bad team but maybe it's not 120+ losses bad again. Once Meidroth is back you've maybe got a decent 1-5 and if Workman hits a bit and Vaughn gets the hell out of the top of the lineup maybe we can score some runs once and awhile.

I would be surprised if he can play the position but f*** it, throw Workman at SS full-time and see what he can do.  I see no reason not to.  We already know that Amaya can’t hit major league pitching.

At some point he's gonna be as beloved as Salvy in KC. So the new owners will keep him IMO. Jerry's family can't hold onto this team forever.

His family won't...but as long as JR is around he simply won't pay the going rate for very good players.

Frustrating. Maybe we'll at least spend as much as KC and Minnie.

Minny payroll $130-140 million....would have to double if not almost triple that (current $68 million) without Robert Vaughn Benintendi.
