Roster doesn't make any sense to me honestly. Should have just kept Elko as the every day 1B. Just cut Rojas.

They want to be able to platoon at almost every position. Doesn’t matter that neither Rojas or Capra can hit. Odd choice, but an understandable choice.

I think Capra has about two weeks left before Colson is here. As for Rojas, he will be gone once one of Baldwin/Elko/Vaughn (yuck) force their way back.

If I was Elko I would asked to be traded. I would like to think that some other MLB team would want him. There's no reason why he should be back in the minors.

I would be very, very surprised if Colson was here before the All-Star break. He's starting to play better but this is a very small sample right now, they don't want to destroy his confidence by bringing him up and seeing him fall flat on his face.

As bad as this team is Colson isn't going to change that dynamic, let him keep showing he has turned the corner. I wouldn't mind if he stayed in Charlotte the entire season, maybe come up in September.

Wasn't Rojas the biggest free agent acquisition by Getz this off season? I personally think he will be here most if not all of the season with the argument that he was hurt and will eventually hit to his norm.

And I 100% agree with you on Elko. He hit with enough power here to justify him staying.

He was another dumpster dive for a .5 WAR player. 3.7 million I think. Just more money lit on fire. There's some positives around the club but the FA process remains a complete dumpster fire. They basically wasted 10 million between him and Vaughn. They could have probalby signed a solid closer for 10 million or so and gotten a handful more wins by now.

I think the reason he is Elko and you are WBWSF is because he understands being a professional minor leaguer means that there is no way he should ever do something like this suggestion when he has proved nothing

What more does Elko have to prove in the minor leagues? I get the impression that the White Sox management doesn't have a high opinion of Elko. A couple of weeks ago Elko hit a home run in a game and a few innings later they pinched hit for him. If they are not going to play him  in the majors  I would think they would have the decency to trade him.  Elko is suppose to be a really nice guy. His teammates speak highly of him. I hope he's given a chance somewhere if not here.

I would say a lot of overreacting on here today. Rojas has been hurt and has not played very much. To give up on him and imply he has no value seems silly. Will he be great? Probably not, but he will be very solid as the season progresses and his batting improves (becomes less bad). 

I was not happy about Elko going down; and I agree, that pinch hitting for after an HR made no sense. But I think the Sox are far, far from giving up on him. I have to believe that Sox have plans for him at 1st base in the future; he's just showing too much promise to be ignored. I think partly, that he was moved down to allow all of Getz's FA pickups to play, so he can justify their being here, both to Jerry and the fans.

You will be going to your grave wondering that every season with this organization.   You would need a new owner to gut everything out but sadly it will be the rebuild of a rebuild of a rebuild rebuild.   Hopefully they would not promote someone who was bad at their previous job.

Basic baseball there that Vargas screwed up, our guys need to get their head out of their asses.

You’re probably right, but I didn’t hate it. If he hesitates and it gets through, he likely doesn’t score. If he goes right away like he did, he would score if it gets through. And with Robert on at first, there’s a good chance we’ll get a faster runner at second anyway.
