As a White Sox fan, it's possible that I only think about it perhaps one more time (when the pitcher we acquired is released from the organization). Of course, hopefully we see something more out of it, but this has all the makings of a nothingburger for both sides. Still makes sense for both sides.

I think some of this is also that I’m guessing Judge isn’t playing a lot of outfield the rest of this year with the elbow so they want depth and don’t want to call up Jones yet.

I think I was the only one suggesting the Sox trade Robert and then sign Bader last winter. Would have been a win/win/win. Robert had more trade value, bader costs less $ than Robert this season, Bader has been the more productive player.

July 30, 2025Jul 30 Slater's savant numbers are really good. But while he hit the crap out of the ball a lot, I felt like he had some shitty luck hitting it right to people or flying out to the warning track in center. Even with that, he's a really good platoon bat.
