I spent 45 minutes looking at air fryers to come back to this? Also to derail the white sox part of this white sox thread does anyone have a good recommendation? I use my cheap one way too often. something for 2-4 people.

I used to have a cheap 8 quart single basket air fryer but I upgraded to a Ninja I got from CostCo with two separate 5 quart baskets.  The cool thing about the Ninja is that you can heat each basket separately with different temps and times or do a dual cook for both baskets at the same temps and times.  Nice to be able to air fry to different things at the same time.

The Royals aren't even good. To lose 14 in a row there is fucking insane. It's insane against anyone.

Last year I could see going winless in KC or anywhere else but not this year. A few years ago the Orioles lost all 18 games they played against the Rays so crazy stuff happens.
Venable eventually might be good but I still say it was a mistake to hire a rookie manager.

0-14 in there last 14 games at Kaufman.  That is pathetic!

Greg doesn't usually speak up for himself. But I told everyone to bet the house on the sweep. So sad for baseball. It's unfair to the wild card contenders to have the Royals turn their season around with a sweep of the Sox this late in the season. Now KC storms to a playoff berth again. All cause the Sox gave them hope/momentum again. Sad, sad, sad. Even though the Sox are a bit improved this year I am all for penalizing them for fielding a noncompetitive team for the most part for so many years. Embarrassing sweep. The highlight of this season has unquestionably been a team in yellow uniforms honoring Oz, Paulie, AJP and Mark B in banana ball.

We have the Ninja one but the beep sound it makes is so terrible.

Vasil was used last night in a game that was a lost cause. They should have saved him for todays game. I would have rather  have had him  pitch in the 7th inning than Wilson.

They've lost 11 of 13, scored five runs in the last four games and for the 13th time the Sox took a lead into the 7th inning or later and lost the game.

Wilson was responsible now for two and a half of those games.

Not that it really would have made much difference but the bullpen is still terrible.

Oh Taylor is NOT a relief pitcher, let the kid start.

They really should have cashed in on Taylor.  These idiots don’t need a closer for another 4 years.

Only if there is one available 4 years from now. We somehow believe the future is certain, like being competitive again.

Other teams do a rebuild of the rebuild rebuild. Some teams are stuck at being bad.  Trading today for tomorrow, then tomorrow becomes today.

Life would be grand if other GMs overvalued a fan's overvalue of players.

We also tend to look at these kids as if they are a finished product.

So you're saying that 21 bullpens in the game suck?

Bullpen era never tells a complete story.  It's about being clutch.  If guy from the pen lets an inherited runner score it's not on them. It doesn't always reflect a team in the standings.   But it seems there is no shortage of bad ones.

It's the most inconsistent part of any team. Yet I think it foolish to invest a lot of money in one.  See Rick Hahn

17/35 in saves just sucks

Sox are last in saves as a team...and currently seven whole saves behind 29th place.

Even the Rookies are 24/44 in sv/svo...on pace for 46-116 if they hold lead today.

He's trying to find more creative ways to say the same thing over and over.

We are all in the same sinking boat.

Saw this tweet and it’s absolutely perfect

I guess, but it just sounds like every other post here.

I’m not saying it’s wrong, but isn’t this all very obvious stuff to most of us?

I read where the 2025 Brewers  have 16 players on the team who weren't on it in 2024. Getz has said he expects to spend some money on players this off season. The White Sox are losing alot of close games. Perhaps adding some players this off season will lead to a better team in 2026.

If you think JR will allow him to spend money on QUALITY difference making free agents I've got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.

With the owners going to lock out the players and try to force a salary cap as soon as 2026 ends, at least part of the 2027 season is going to be at risk. And so will his chances to make money.

JR DOES NOT TAKE RISKS.

Therefore the only free agents you are going to get will be the usual motley crew of stiffs, has-been's, injury prone guys and retreads just hanging on.

You'll get nothing and like it on the way to another 100+ loss season.

@WestEddy was singing the praises of this team on August 1. Saying stuff like he thought this was a new and improved team that could finish their remaining games close to .500. I laughed at the idea that this team could finish out the last two months of this season around .500. I guess time will tell but all I see is more of the same. Yes, the team is younger but that doesn’t mean they’re any good either. 4-11 since the TDL.

I admit guilt, I thought they were on the way to at least 70 wins.

It’s not Venable.  The team seriously lacks talent and Getz has put a muzzle on bringing in fresh talent for the rebuild.

So far I would give Venable a passing grade.  I feel like most of the line up issues aren't in his hands
