WestEddy
Fangraphs shows Houser as the scheduled pitcher for tonight. He's had more downs than ups since joining the Rays, but he's coming off of a nice 7-inning, 1 run outing against the Mariners. He's not announced, yet. WestEddy
White Sox say Braden Montgomery was placed on the IL with a "small fracture" in his right foot, suffered via a HBP on Saturday. He will miss the rest of the Birmingham Barons' season and postseason, but the team expects he can still play in the AFL when healed. — James Fegan (@JRFegan) September 9, 2025
joejoesox
will be an interesting pitching duel. all of the starters will be facing each pitcher for the first time, except for Tauchman and MAT, who are both 0-for vs Houser

Autumn Dreamin
Presumably Quero and Teel have some familiarity with Houser's stuff from having caught him. Kinda don't want to light him up too bad though, I liked him as a Sox. 1

WestEddy
Noah Schultz is likely to miss the AFL, as the White Sox don’t want to rush him back this year after a recurrence of his patellar tendinitis. Reliever Jarold Rosado (Paul DeJong trade) expected to replace Schultz on the roster. — James Fegan (@JRFegan) September 9, 2025
WestEddy
White Sox managerWill Venable on future positions for C Kyle Teel. ‘ when you have guys with his athleticism and ability, you should be open to anything. As far as today, we are focused on making him the best catcher he can be.We know he’s a really good catcher.” — Bruce Levine (@MLBBruceLevine) September 9, 2025

Probably just needs to adjust his training routine a bit. Maybe do some different lower body lifts for awhile.

Then, you have to carry a defensive replacement for him. Then, he's going back and forth and ends up hitting .210. He's a Catcher. 1

No reason to move a guy down the defensive spectrum who is doing a good job.
