So glad he’s on the radio as the voice of the White Sox. That is a home run call that I can dig as a Sox fan. Seems a lot more authentic to me as a Sox fan than “SOUTH SIDE STAAAAAANNND UP!”

If international starts firing on that burner, it would be nice. I'm guessing that projecting 12-year-olds is a whole different game than 16 or 20-year-olds. A few of those early trades also seem to have been sight unseen, or word of mouth. I'd also guess he had an entire pro scouting department he didn't trust or couldn't rely upon.Beyond that, if he's assembled a team who scout, run numbers on and put together trades for Getz to pull the trigger on, who cares if he didn't know Acuña was a switch-hitter or not. I'm sure the guys who watched film of him and determined he was a candidate for Shoman tweaks knew what they were looking at.Or as long as they were eating all the money and throwing in a player he really didnt care all that much about it. At that point it was the best they could get and he knew to keep waiting on Robert to perform or stop getting injured was folly.I know lots of people were pissed because of his upside but he was like a comet, spectacularly there and then gone. I think Getz kept waiting on THAT Robert to reappear but his career was making a lot of people who believed in him look stupid.

With pallid interest in Eloy and Yoan, maybe lowballs on Robert and Cease, he moved forward with what he had. I don't think we're talking to too many crypto billionaires here who gambled their house on catching an inside straight. That said, I'm guessing the rest of the industry "knew" what the posters here already proclaimed to "know", and that's that Robert would be injured 9 games into the next season, (or whatever he was).

Screw any Cubs fan complaining about celebrating.I’m of the mind that if you walk someone off, especially with a homer, do whatever the hell you want as long as you’re not making contact with the opponent. That’s my line in the sand. No physical contact with the other team. Bat flip the fucking thing over the moon, run around the bases on your hands…matters not to me. Enjoy the moment. The game is hard and life is fun. I choose to live by joy!

The rotation is smoke and mirrors, at this point. But with that top 5-6 of the order, they're never out of it.Now add Braden, Gonzo and Reel to the lineup.Absolute launching pad.

At most he's a minor annoyance and there are ways to ignore him. He's like when you want to watch the Luvabulls shake it you also have to watch the male LuvaBulls. Are their male Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders yet ?
