Sox will absolutely find ways to lose games, so many holes on this roster

Can’t believe they didn’t give Vargas an error

The problem is that it isn't that the ump is awful, it's that they have to be drug out as the "female" ump. Talk about her skill all you like, but dragging out her gender with it is crap. No one ca

Venable needs to know his personnel better.

don't just assume he gets the bunt down against a very tricky lhp...not after failing like that, all the pressure is on Nishida who will take this loss harder than anyone in that dugout

Antonacci needs to be at least a better base runner than Madrigal as well

Wheels falling off in big way is frustrating more than anything to me.

Man I can't believe we didn't score in the 10th

Had a chance in the 8th too if the Twins didn't get to play by different rules

Because the hitter is out and Sam doesn’t have to go to second with the force out at first.

Literally the same as when a first baseman starts a double play by tagging first base and throwing to second and needing to tag the runner.

We have our maestro going tomorrow at least. Unfortunately fedde on Thursday

Bell touched the base first. I believe the force at second is eliminated then.

Didn't take off the mask?

OF positioning seemed very suspect there vs a lefty.

Sam being an idiot helping them lose is getting quite old

That was a DP any way you slice dont you think if it wasnt caught on the fly. He couldnt tell and neither could most of us.

Don’t have to believe. It is haha

Gomez for second save

Yeah it was initially a great read

Im just confused. He froze on contact, watched the play unfold, saw the ball bounce and... stood still. Like a deer in headlights. He had two options, immediately break for second or go right back to the base. He did neither lol.

Either way Sam running to RF isn’t the right move

I think he was trying the stupid “snake in the grass” play that’s been banned from travel baseball

Yup, right or wrong, you got to make a call immediately and stick with it given the situation.

had to think it was caught and he was dead in the water....hence running towards RF

We also weren’t on the field to have Antonacci's same view either, so you can’t really assume that. We saw a shot of the first baseman. I’m sure he will answer the question in the post-game. Whether he tells the truth or not is a different story, lol.

You're right. I still think the ump did him no favors at all

I mean three runs isn’t THAT many…
