The problem is that it isn't that the ump is awful, it's that they have to be drug out as the "female" ump. Talk about her skill all you like, but dragging out her gender with it is crap. No one ca

  • Great outing from Burke.

We also weren’t on the field to have Antonacci's same view either, so you can’t really assume that. We saw a shot of the first baseman.

I remember when people used to make excuses for Madrigal’s early base running blunders as well

I mean three runs isn’t THAT many…

You got a guy on second and heart of the lineup up. It’s doable

Bell touched the base first. I believe the force at second is eliminated then.

He would have to beat Bell to the bag or get there without a tag if he went back. No reason he cant be standing on first before Bell tags the bag and the runner only is out.

I love this game. Thx Hawk.

Which is what he did and then freaked out

At this point, 1B has not been touched. Only chance to save the game is for Sam to get off the base and hope that Bell tries to tag him without getting the out at first. But Bell already has him pinned down and once Sam tries to leave the base Bell wisely touches the base with his foot (just barely) and Sam has nowhere to go but out of the baseline. And Acuna still needs like 15-20 feet to score

Im just confused. He froze on contact, watched the play unfold, saw the ball bounce and... stood still. Like a deer in headlights. He had two options, immediately break for second or go right back to the base. He did neither lol.

LOL. After being right near the bag, he made the worst mistake possible and tried to avoid the tag by backpedaling into right field.

Nishida went from hero to goat in less than five minutes thanks to Venable

everyone in Japan must be collectively wondering who the hell taught him bunting

You're right. I still think the ump did him no favors at all

Because it’s that shitty female umpire who has no business being an MLB ump.

There’s some irony to Sam being called last week for intentionally dropping a line drive and then this happening tonight.

She is not a female ump, she's a minor league ump callup. Those callups are 100% merit based and determined by metrics

Huh? Why? He can literally stand on first base and the Sox win.

Bell can just tag Sam and then the base and it's over

He can tag Sam first and then touch first for the dp too if he stands on it.

Good lord

I saw her in ST and the teams were f’n livid with her when she was behind the plate. There was another game earlier this season where she was f’n up balls and strikes, too. Merit my ass.

It happens with little ones in the house. I’ve got a 22 month old and a 5 month old. I’m lucky to remember anything these days lol

Watching on Gameday...did Colson swing at a pitch that looked like it was gonna hit him??
