It doesn't even feel real. But there isn't a single guy they've call upon other than maybe Nishida and Quero where I thought that's just not a MLB player. Gonzo and Montgomery look like players, in their own way. Even Nishida for what he is isn't horrible, we just have a good depth now to where a .5 WAR potential 29th man is a complaint.

Plus Edgar had that walk off against the Cubbies....so that buys him some time in my heart.

  • I kinda felt the same way...the Sox are playing great baseball, especially at home. It all matters how a team is playing when you face them. Sox just need to play with the same intensity when they fac

This team wins games that good teams do. They play top competition tough even when they lose, it’s really fun watching them right now.

Hats off to Davis Martin, he has been a revelation this season. Dominant

Davis should be an all star

Before tonight, he had the 4th highest fWAR of any pitcher. In the AL, he's behind only Schlittler.

11-2 in Davis Martin starts, and one of those losses was 2-0 which can hardly be blamed on him.

He and Vargas should be the bare minimum of Sox representation, and at least 3 other guys have a case too.

Also, can’t be said enough but damn Braden looks like a DUDE. No fear

I half jokingly said I'd restart the winner threads if we sustained over .500 ball. Now it's a bit of a happy burden. And WHERE THE f*** IS @southsider2k5

Seriously, I can’t get enough of this team! Scrolling Twitter for way too long after fun wins like this.

Once Sox went above .500, we never sunk back below. Let's do the same thing with first place.

This team has the power of God and anime on their side.

Do we still have the power of anime now that Mune is on the IL and Rikuu got sent down?

I wouldn't say he's an ace, but I also wouldn't say he isn't capable of what he did tonight. Very good 2nd starter at the very least. Great player to have.

This is a good team. 2 pitchers and healthy teel away from being legit

Kinda crazy to think that and we got the number one pick and few live arms and bats still down in the farm beyond teel hoping to heal up for the stretch.

I was talking to my brother yesterday about how good this lineup will look when everyone is back healthy (knock on wood) and how big of a log jam we might have because of that. And then we get to add the #1 pick in the draft on top of that.

Six Sox hats came in the mail for me today. These guys are special. LET’S GO BOYS!!!

Loving Montgomery. If anybody is a footy fan or Arsenal supporter, he's reminiscent of a baseball playing version of Myles Lewis Skelly.

I totally understood that

Just like Vasil provides magic while injured, Mune provides anime power.

You can definitely make a case that Martin won't be this good all year, but his peripherals all indicate that he's at least a top of the rotation starter now.

Things can change quickly so at this point if you keep winning I'd say f*** it, at least trade some prospect depth for high leverage arms this season. If they are like 65-57 before the deadline, why hte hell not?

Thank goodness Getz didn't listen to the hineybirds who wanted to trade Martin 2 years ago....I never understood that idea.

Still early but the 1977 and 1990 vibes are starting to come into play.

Unexpected things sometimes happen in baseball.

Tough win tonight.

I've been telling myself if they're still in a wild card spot after this gauntlet, you have to go for it.

Trading back end 10-15 prospects in system for immediate help bullpen makes fine sense imo. just get some cost controlled arms if any turn out.

Draft the best available college pitcher at #1 and call him immediately up 😎

Yeah there’s not many games where they don’t give themselves a chance, even if they don’t capitalize. It’s awesome.
