Emerson Hancock for Chase Meidroth?

I think Hancock will have a good bit more value, but I was thinking something like this as well. Throw in Pereira and probably 1 of Adams/McDougal. Successful prearb SP’s don’t exactly hit the trade market often, I imagine the Mariners will have plenty of offers.

I think it would make total sense for the future of the Sox given the MIF talent we have coming up and Hancock’s cheap controllable contract.

We have no excuse not to buy a top-end SP in free agency this offseason. As such, I’d rather keep Bonemer and go with a cheaper SP at the deadline. I truly believe we should not be doing “all-in” trad

I'm pretty disinterested in Detmers for what his cost is likely to be. One season of 100+ IP with < 4 ERA in his career, so the upside is limited. And for folks who are worried about Martin's recen

I'd love the Sox to go after Hunter Greene if he's made available.

I'd trade a haul for that.

Merkin suggests the Sox go and get Miller in his story at the Sox web site today.

I think that would be a big mistake but whatever.

I don't think he'd publish this if there wasn't something tangible there. Feel like if we have the chance to get the most dominant pitcher in baseball who has club control, we should do it.

I imagine Hancock would cost a lot more than that.

I'm with you if it's for Bonemer straight up. Preller would ask for more, IMO.

Does Colson have much trade appeal? That would remove our shortstop glut. Bonemer might be ready next year.

It all depends on where the Sox are in 10 days given their schedule and what the cost would be. And I'd also include where Detroit is in 10 days. Their schedule for the next two weeks on paper is easy compared to the Sox. I think they are the threat, not Cleveland or Minnesota.

You want to trade our starting SS while trying to make the playoffs?

I get it from the cost controlled but giving up one of our top position prospects plus a schult or smith feels steep.

Now I would do it for a few of our pitching prospects - but I’m saving our elite positional talent for front end starting pitching or to have on our big league club.

If you told me we signed Skubal in the offseason as Ishibias big first move then id be more stoked.

It's truly unbelievable how people don't understand how rare Colson is

One of the strangest thoughts/posts in this site’s history. Practically nonsensical.

He's not cooked like most of the players the previous few years.

Well they lost today to the shitty Royals so maybe not as big as a threat as you think.

Colson Montgomery's HR power, at least for a SS, is elite. He has carried the Sox in certain stretches this season. As with almost any HR hitter, Colson is going to have a lot of K's so patience is required. The big 3 White Sox power hitters are in a HR drought right now. Very frustrating.

MoccBomb is as reliable as Bartolo’s colon and the old foodies.

And Michael King has “2 PLAYER options for 30 mil and 35 mil in 27 and 28”

you're giving up more than that for Mason Miller

Have we not learned our lesson on using valuable assets on fucking relievers. It’s the worst asset management philosophy in baseball

I'm simply saying the Sox have a difficult two week stretch, on paper Detroit has an opportunity to gain ground and become a serious threat.

It all depends on how they play and how the Sox play.

Why that seems to irritate you is beyond me.

Unless Ishbia is taking a bigger role than anyone realizes in the hear and now it's hard to imagine JR agreeing to this. That's why I think that report is a tad unreliable.

Because when the Sox lose a game like last night you are like SAME OLD SOX HERE WE GO AGAIN and when the Tigers lose you are like "WELL THEIR SCHEDULE IS STILL EASY!" It's like you want the Sox to lose this so you can give some historical stat about their ineptitude instead of just enjoying the most fun season they've had since 2005.
