Bart is at about 55% ABS challenge %, Romo at mid 40%, quero 46% so that may be an improvement.

listen from 2014-2017 people kept trying to do this thing where they'd tell me going from really bad to just a little bad was a huge deal, but then the guy who had been just a little bad would come and be pretty bad, and the really bad would revert.

You either upgrade with a no doubt starter or you are shuffling hot hands. WE have one more guy to shuffle. That's cool. I didn't really care about catcher, I wanted a top pitcher, a no doubt one we could be pumped about. Instead we got another guy to shuffle if he gets hot. With Fedde and Schultz looking good this weekend, it's not that amazing to me.

Confounding factor is the Sox have a team philosophy of having their catchers be super aggressive. So a guy who is usually accurate operating under orders to never let the game end with any challenges left will become less accurate.

One interesting trend, there wasn't a beep of rumors or leaks related to any of the deals the Sox made. I think that is a huge improvement from the FO's of the past as well.

I do find the Detmers love interesting. He had a good June but other then that? Meh. He's only gone past 5 innings once in July. And I'm sure because he's controllable, the price was probably very high.
