Sweet Jesus what the hell are they waiting for to get Noah off the mound? For Texas to score 10 runs?

This seems like an overreaction to a potential second loss in their last 8 games? Nothing about this team suggests that they are one loss or one injury away from losing their vibes.

Don’t go watch Smith’s last outing

4 innings 5 K's

1 walk 1 run

Boooo

Hard hit, soft hit, I don't give a @#$%. He's getting hit all over the park, and logged 80 pitches for 11 outs and 11 hits surrendered, 2 strikeouts.

This won't work, he needs either an opener, or something to throw off the current trajectory.

I don’t see anyway he makes another start for the Sox this year while still in the race

It's getting to the point where I hope we don't score double digits so we actually score something the next game.

Whatever. Replace him with Sandlin, win the series tomorrow, and get some help via trade this week or next.

Yep, like with the Teel injury, his long term contributions are more important to me than anything he’d give you the next two months.

Sox have to self-scout to figure out why batters know what pitch is coming from Noah. AAA hitters had absolutely no chance against his breaking pitches and it has been very, very different in MLB even though the slider grades out as a plus-plus pitch by movement. And it's such a fastball-heavy approach at this point there's no way they're just guessing right based on pitch sequences.

As a side point, I don't know why he's been so reliant on the 4-seamer in the majors when that was never his main fastball in the minors.

This. They can’t keep giving away games because this dude is getting hit all over the yard game after game. He’s gotta figure it out elsewhere not up here

That wasnt his last outing. His last outing he went 3.1 and had 4 walks and 2 HBP.

Sandlin’s not much better. Only went 4 for Charlotte today. Only gave up 1 run but 3bb in 4 innings. Scuffled his whole outing.

He’d be replaced by the traded for guy (or girl).

Schultz has had his chances. Yea send him down, but maybe he won'

Schultz had a 2.35 ERA and 0.78 WHIP in Charlotte with 34K in 23 innings

I'm not sure what benchmarks you would use for him improving down there

I am a real fan of Noah Schultz and think his dad is the best... but I am now wondering whether Noah has what it takes to pitch in the Majors - the ability to locate pitches in order to execute a game plan. Really disappointed in Noah and Teel. The good vibe that the team had going seems to have ended abruptly.

Not sure why they only had Sandlin throw 60 pitches today

Tanner McDougal gave up some very hard contact to ex-Sox Ryan Noda and Bryan Ramos

Yep, when the Sox scored double digits last night, I knew we'd be screwed for today, on top of not having Colson and Kyle

Wouldn't be shocked if they get shut out

they're becoming a feast or famine offense

Aaron Bummer signed with Royals.

Good luck!

Lift and pull 2006-2010 offense under Greg Walker.

Say what?!?

I see we continue the time-honored tradition of trying to find meaning in the mostly meaningless day to day variations in production at the plate

Again, I’m sure a lot will disagree but he’s someone I’d use as a key piece for a controllable starter.

To me he has the highest upside of any starter they have.

I'm not a big believer in him but at the same time, I'm not sure that the rest of the league has the same level of inexplicable devotion to him that the ultra-online Sox fan does. So I don't know how I feel about using him in a trade since I have a feeling I'll be disappointed in how much value you'd get back.
