  • If we happened to meet them in October, I'm more worried about the Yankees starting pitching to be honest.

Grichuk and Beni, the 2 old pros have been our unsung heroes with lots of clutch hitting.

  • Are you serious?

Well Castillo has had one good game in the four he's pitched, Brazolban has been terrible, Doyle has done nothing and Bart is hurt.

Getz gets a big fat F for his trade deadline acquisitions and as has been posted the Sox are stuck with them next year.

Not good.

And the Sox have lost 10 of their last 18 games.

Would've been better off not making any trade but some GMs have this habit making trade just to make trades.

He was right with the Vargas trade but it took awhile.

As someone who is not even a Getz fan, this is such shortsighted armchair GM nonsense.

Mason Miller in. Game Over.

All you can do is look at the results and they have not been good to say the least.

Can they get better? Sure.

Getz, the organization and the fan base damn well better hope so. A division title may be riding on it because the pitching staff is short handed and running on fumes.

A fan posted this at another Sox web site. The numbers don't lie:

"Castillo's White Sox numbers after 4 starts:

5.89 ERA, 1.53 WHIP. And that was WITH 7 innings of shutout, 1 hit ball. So he's been complete DFA level crap for 3 of 4 starts, and they're on the hook to pay him 22 million next year.

Getz is a genius."

Well...could Castillo turn into James Shields version 2.0?

Her husband plays for the Padres?

Really? Promise you before the season, you would have been planning to watch the Bears tonight and not the Sox.

No.

I’m just pissed.

Yeah, Jake Cronenworth

Damn the Guardians schedule is easy.

Not sure about that. They are getting the Royals next weekend who are on a 7 game winning streak. Angels have also been better as of late.

Royals could be on a 4 game losing streak by next weekend. We need some help with how hot and cold we have been

So could the Guardians

Brooke’s father is Scott Fletcher, ex MLB SS and 2B. Gordon Beckham is her brother in law. Her husband is playing for the Padres. Quite a baseball family. She was also Miss Georgia 2015.

We had multiple chances to pull ahead in this game but couldn’t get the timely hits. It didn’t help that Kolson and Mune each had 4 Ks.

84 wins probably takes the division, the Sox have basically been a .500 team since the break but with the starting pitching a couple of arms short it might be hard to get to 84 wins, we can’t expect 4 or 5 homers every game, we need some starters to really step it up, maybe Martin can get it back on his return.

Benintendi batted 3 times with the bases loaded and plated 1 run. I know the pitching staff is in shambles right now but too often our Sox just don't hit. Play a little more small ball. Tack on runs even one at a time.

Mune strikes out too much.

Guardians got swept by these same Mets not long ago. I think I am more worried about Minnesota. Those 6 games against them will be huge.

Unfortunately, the White Sox turned a waste of money in Dominqwez into a bigger waste of money. HesJames Shields all over again. At least it doesn't appear they gave up anything near Tatis to get him.

Edited by Dick Allen

Colson added 4 more K's to his total, which is probably leading the league. If they keep him in the lineup, he could add another 100 to that total.

MLB Team Batting Strikeouts This Season | StatMuse

The Atlanta Braves have gotten struck out 1,052 times this season.

Yankees White Sox Cubs 5-6-7 in strikeouts by hitters.

Nothing better than a brand new day and a clean slate! I'm predicting a series-winning offensive explosion by the Sox!
