  • This is on Venable though. Had he pulled Kay when he was struggling in the 5th before that 3 run home run, Sox would most probably have won this game. You're not gonna score 7 runs every game, putting

  • Burke pushed back a game. I bet this is done to set up the Guardians series.

  • Mune is going to have a multi homer game tonight!

Tell me more about how we should stop playing maybe our most impactful bat because he’s in a slump.

Because now that league has him figured him out, the man flat-out can’t hit other than an infrequently home run every once in a strenuous while. He’s an early has-been.

  1. You don’t know that. At all. He’s a big part of what got them here. You need to get him right.

  2. Young teams of all sorts tend to mirror their leadership’s energy. Making panic moves is the wrong choice.

At this point I just don’t see Murakami as a major league hitter and I don’t think he is fixable. He’s doesn’t have talent. He isn’t a major league hitter. He had his fling but that is all it was. A fling.

Team needs to be resilient again because tomorrow feels like a must win....it isn't of course but it feels like it.

Thank you Skip Bayless.

With the state of the starting pitching thinking every game may be 'must win' isn't to far off.

Hudson opening tomorrow. I hate bullpen games in a race for a division

Sox caught a break with Cleveland and Houston losing but it's going to be a rough three weeks unless their get their stuff together.

You simply can't lose games at home to mediocre teams.

2-5 in the last seven games.

They just don't have the talent to put a good run together, to many holes.

And the comments about the manager's decisions are valid.

Quite holy.

This team is a trainwreck hopefully the baseball gods decide to give us postseason baseball anyway.

We need a real manager not sleepy Will.

No pinwheels!!!! Don’t forget the amazing tradition of one of the worst franchises in sports!

Okay? If throwing out traditions is fine because the franchise is historically bad which ones do you approve keeping? Buzzkill

There are none that should be make or break

How is it make or break to say they should stick some pinwheels on a video board

Not sure what you’re getting at, as I was mocking those on Twitter that are acting like the renderings and what’s missing are a huge deal.

Cleveland losing was literally the ONLY thing to go right for me today.

Between the Sox imploding, the absolutely abysmal slate of CFB games and the complete and utter scandal that was WMU being robbed of a win they 100% deserved against perennial cheaters in Michigan, this has been a garbage Saturday.

Sunday better come through. I'm talking Sox better put belt to fucking ass as well the Irish.

Man I want to be more angry at this than I am but it's almost sunrise colson and mune went yardand the fat lady has only sang a couple of times so far; got one with me she says white sox winner on national tv. She needs a place to stay and I need her to leave because I have my fantasy football draft tomorrow night as well but go Sox and I'ma let her pick my team later maybe.

That’s what happens when you don’t acquire another starter

Yeah, but what about adding a bad CF that can’t hit at all and barely plays? Much more important. Getz ran the trade deadline like a 12 year old playing MLB The Show on his PS5.

“Imploding”. I think your thing first one to use that word and it’s timely correct.

2012 White Sox the final three weeks was closer to imploding...we'll see soon enough about this team

They are 500 their last 10 games. I would say they are playing the same as all year. This isn’t some insane collapse.

That was a major mistake at the trade deadline. Hopefully the team will still make it to the finish line.

These losses when they happen seem to be a result of an implosion on those days.

“You’re going to expose guys to some spots like we did today in the fifth with Kay facing [right-handed-hitting] Jeffers where you’re going to have some trouble you’ve got to be able to work through,” Venable said.

*Kay has now failed to complete the fifth his last three times out, and there's a stark divide between the first three innings and what comes after:

  • First 3 innings: 9 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 4 K, 0 HBP

  • Innings 4-5: 4⅔ IP, 14 H, 13 R, 13 ER, 3 BB, 7 K, 2 HBP

He rejected the opener earlier in the season, but this kind of performance is crying out for help.
