Tigers @ White Sox, 6:40

10 games left, win this one and we are back in first.

Valdez vs our ace Erick Fedde

I would expect the same lineup as yesterday except Mune in for Colson and Sam in for Acuna (hopefully)

This team could use a little of that TA, "it's just me against the world" type attitude right now.

A win tonight and the Sox own 1st place with the tie breaker; they also have complete control of their destiny.

Id say home cooking will do them well but they've been playing uninspired at the Rate since the end of June.

There's nothing like the promise of a brand new day! Let's GO !!!

Wake the hell up and get it done. Enough of this s%*#.

I still think of 2006 where the Tigers were running away with the division and here comes the Twins. Back then winning 90 games couldn't do it.

That Sox team had zero pitching by the end of the year. The only reason they won 90 was because they could absolutely MASH.

technically the Sox are in first place because of the tie breaker, all they have to do is end the season with the same record as Cleveland to win the division, I look at the tie breaker as worth a half win

All I can say is good luck.

Tigers are desperate and would probably need to win out to make the playoffs. Need to win tonight and deflate them.

A scorching hot Tigers team coming in against a White Sox team that has been awful for weeks. I don't foresee good things here.

Prove me wrong losers.

Baseball Reference right now is giving the Sox a 55.4% chance to win the division while the Guards a 44.6% chance, comes down to the Sox having an easier schedule with 7 home games with 3 against the Rockies in the last series of the year while the Guards only have 3 home games and have that series in Boston.

This is not a team thing anymore.

I am convinced that if Mune, C Montgomery, and B Montgomery keep with the slumps they are in this team will not make the playoffs.

IF 2 of the 3 (especially CS and MUNE) can start hitting like they did 1st half this team will win the division and could be dangerous in the playoffs.

10 games to see what happens ................

BMont needs to be on the bench the rest of the way and only used for late innings defense. We have no idea when Kolson will be back with his wrist contusion. That leaves Mune with it looking like a miracle is needed to get him back on track. We can still win without those 3 as we were competitive in the Guards series basically without any help from them and should have won 2 of the games. What we need is the starting pitching to step up with quality outings.

I will be in Section 163 and hanging out in the outfield concourse with a few friends. We had these seats before the last few series. I usually attend the last home game as well to thank the players. A lot of good players and good people on this team.

Use caution and be safe. It is so dangerous.

GO TIME! RECLAIM FIRST PLACE WITH A WHITE SOX WINNER!!

Let's fucking win this series.

Ive heard a lot of "every game is a playoff game to us" since I feel early August. Thats the wrong approach. These guys were best when they were loose, having fun, and just proving they belong. They need to relax and let their natural talent and confidence show. Theyre better than each of their next opponents, so enjoy that there are 10 left and they are a half game out, and have some fun and they'll do fine.

Split with Detroit and win each series gets you to 6-4 and I think that does it. That being said go win the next 10.

Jake Freakin' Rogers...in a playoff sprint. SMH.
