I was a junior in college and my long term GF broke up with me a week after the World Series was over. Hope my wife doesn’t leave me now!

He definitely doesn’t look like a 90 year old. Maybe he shares longevity notes with Shatner

As long as Ishbia’s option to buy really does kick in by 2034, Jerry can live to 120.

South side celebration was not heard up in Winnetka. Dude doesn't acknowledge anything or anyone "South side." Ishbya had nothing to do with the White Sox this season, not spending one cent on the team, but some want to svk his dik anyway because they hate the South side as well.

The win marked Chicago's first postseason series victory since 2005, a drought exceeded in MLB by only the Cincinnati Reds.

It was not supposed to happen, at least not this soon. Not for a team just two years removed from a record 121-loss season. Not for a team so young and so inexperienced.

"We've got a young, hungry group, some veteran guys that we lean on," second baseman Chase Meidroth said. "But it's been the same all year. We believe we can win every game."

***Venable said that if the double steal wouldn't have happened, Meidroth would have been asked to put down a sacrifice bunt. Instead, he was free to swing.***

"I was looking for something middle up," Meidroth said. "He's had my number all year. Really good fastball. I got something middle up, and I was able to cash in for the team. Yeah, that was awesome."

Braden and Colson struck out, right? Five in a row, actually.

How else was Reinsdorf going to retire $150 million in accrued debt?

Borrow it all from MLB?

It's almost like the Front Office has an idea what it's doing, and not the online intelligencia.

Now that we won't play Houston until next year...we absolutely neutralized Yordan Alvarez all year. He went 5 for 28 against us in 9 games with no homers.

A while back the ole Hawkaroo was talking about long names on the back of jerseys. He said, you had two choices, get a shorter name or get a bigger back.

Anyways, this team rules and they don't need shorter names.

By that argument, sports message boards and talk radio and podcasts will always be completely worthless...yet how would Chicago survive without Bears/Cubs-related criticism?

The actual ratio of media talk about the Bears to elapsed game time of those 17 on the schedule plus pre and postseason must like be 100-150 to 1.

And that grace period Ozzie got for brilliant managing from 2005-2008 had totally worn out its welcome by 2009-11.

Or just like Rick Hahn's AL Executive of the Year in 2019 had less than a four year shelf life.

All execs and managers are hired to be fired...

This team is so much fun. The offense has been great all year, but the pitching has been hit or miss. The offense continued being awesome this series, and the pitching was nails. Big credit to Venable with the management of the pitching, too.

I think if they take one in Cleveland, they win the ALDS. The atmosphere at The Rate will be incredible. The Sox should have the first home game be a blackout game again and wear their Southside jerseys.

Last two postseason series wins have happened in that shitty stadium. Feels great!

I was thinking how funny it was that despite our lack of playoff success, the scene of Sox fans on camera in the stands during the celebration was extremely familiar in my brain.

I am signing up for HBO Max today, another series another streaming service charge. Don't stop now boys, I will gladly keep paying and the Sox keep advancing.

If you give all the credit to Jerry for this playoff series win, that’s fine. But then, you have to acknowledge that he also owns the Sox 21-year playoff series win drought, which is equally as awful.

1) Its nice to have one Chicago team still in the MLB Playoffs. That being said, The White Sox Are Coming, Tra La, Tra La! 2) I usually don't pay any attention to Cubs fans in regards to their endless excuses when there team loses. I couldn't help but notice but they seem to have outdone themselves this time. After last nights loss to the Padres I read where they're saying they lost because of too much travel time. They played at Boston over the past weekend and had to fly to Florida to finish the series against Boston. They then flew cross country to San Diego. Because of all that traveling they were burnt out and couldn't perform well because of the traveling. That's a new excuse I've never heard before.

That travel seemed to have particularly affected PCA and Alex Bergman - Combined 0 for 13.
