While we're still bitching about players: Anthony Kay was fucking awful all postseason. He seemingly fell behind every hitter. Even when he did get outs, they were liners hit right at outfielders. For someone who was actually good against the Guardians all regular season, he really choked.

Boys, it’s do or die time tonight. I went into the home games feeling we had this series locked down, but for many reasons we failed to take advantage of a great opportunity. Attending the two home ga

Venable’s refusal to avoid Colson (the all time strikeout king) and allowing Colson to drown himself deeper and deeper over the last three months has probably ruined (permanently scarred) Colson forever and the same probably applies to Mune and as far as the future of Sox pitching, which pitcher in his right mind would want to pitch on this team?

They gave up 18 runs in 2 games when the offense scored enough to win in at least one of those games. Plus they completely destroyed all the momentum the Sox had.

If the sox would have gotten hits in those games it could have swung the momentum. Unfortunately we dont know cause the struck out 52 times in the last 3 games.

Not a big fan. Ideally, he’s in a long-relief role next season. Don’t mind him as depth

Bonemer should have got a chance to DH vs LHP

It’s wild that you’re blaming giving up 9 runs per game at home when you only need one win on the offense.

Theres was no competitivenessall around in those games. Also defensive miscues didn't help either

They walked like 10 or more each game. You don’t win that way even against a mediocre offense like Cleveland.

On a team that struck out 21 times today, adding a guy with 30% K rate in the minors wasn't it.

And yet you had this game to win and they didn't.

You also don't want to ruin a guy's development. Jumping from AA to a pennant race is a lot.

Against a lefty though, you get his bat at DH and Grichuk in RF and that’s a big improvement

Grich that just played a flyball into a double tonight? Again, that's not it.

They had THREE games to win. Not just tonight. Even halfway decent pitching wins you one of those two games at home and you don't have to go into the opposing team's stadium after losing all momentum and win an elimination game.

Yeah the offense sucked tonight but blaming them for a complete pitching collapse at home when you had a series win at your fingertips is just mind boggling.

38 base runners in two games at home

Getting Burke's performance in Chicago would have closed the series out for us. But nobody on the pitching staff besides Fedde stepped up.

Im not blaming them for the pitching imploding. Did i actually say that? No the fck i didnt but the offense didnt get the big hits. Braden missed play in right field contributed too

I will never understand why Venable’s lineups going forward after it became obvious that Colson isn’t a big league hitter didn’t have Ant at second and Meidroth at short.

I agree, he started off having a good batting approach but as the season progressed, chasing too many balls out of the strike zone. And his lack of power is pretty alarming.

Brooks Baldwin will be back, and Caleb Bonemer is in the queue. Nick McLain was also drafted to move quickly. I'd think BM has to show some growth in the first month of the season, or he's going to get his trip to Arizona.

Such a strange, unlikeable team. Hope the Rays make quick work of them.

He was still young enough to be sent somewhere (again) for a reset. Might’ve been a good idea for an extreme problem. And Chase was available to slide over. Unless they think he is who he is.
