BMac with a nice outing tonight against Seattle.

In 16 innings this year he has allowed 4 earned runs.

Adam Dunn sucks in clutch situations.

Marlins had 584 people at their game today.

Adam "Not-Pacman" Jones

OMG HE HAS NO EYES!!!! :o

If anyone but Tim Lincecum wins the NL Cy Young it'll be a damn shame. He's easily been the best pitcher in the National League this season, followed by Johan. Brandon Webb isn't even in my top 5.

Webb was until like the last 3 weeks.

Think ATL would like to undo the Teixeira trade? they gave up quite a few players for a great season (combined) from Mark, but now have extremely little to show for it. Konerko's OPS is more than 40 points higher than Kotchman's.

MLB.tv is one of life's most simple pleasures. It allows me to follow my favorite pitchers live.

Roy Oswalt is simply a treat to watch.

While on the subject of the Braves, who else knew about this?

Mike Gonzalez blew his first save in 40 chances since June 25, 2004 by giving up a run Tuesday against the Rockies.

Gonzalez had gone 183 appearances, most of them as a closer or a top setup man, without blowing a lead. In some ways, the streak was more impressive than Eric Gagne's. It never got any attention because he only has had one year of more than 10 saves and he missed a full season due to Tommy John surgery. Still, 183 appearances without blowing a lead is flat out incredible.

K-Rod broke Thigpen's record tonight. This was one of the records I thought that would be very hard to break, because if you're a good team, you're probably going to win by more than 3 runs a lot of times.

How about the Diamondbacks tonight, 10 hits and 10 walks and they lose 2-1 to the Reds.

Forget everything I've said about Arizona this year. They've been easily, IMO, the most dissapointing team in the league. Especially when you consider how they started.

Arizona, Detroit, and Cleveland are easily the 3 biggest dissapointments. Put them in any order.

Detroit, AZ, Cleveland is the order I'd go with.

don't know where to post this, but Cowley is saying Marrioti has been hired by the trib.

Cowley right on the money again, as tonight the tribune has a story near the top of it's sports page on the website saying Mariotti is not joining the tribune. Stay hot Joe Cowley!!

I don't watch enough Arizona, but Bob Melvin should be out of a job. That team is just way too talented to be a sub-.500 team, even if they are a young team and are struggling. Perhaps better scouting of their own minor league system too so they don't give up a 40 homer guy.

Arizona started off on fire. That alone makes them the #1 dissapointment, imo.
