Think its a coincidence that Ventura has been nothing but supportive of every player on the team, most especially Dunn, DeAza, Viciedo, Beckham and even the likes of Morel and Ohman? You don't get it. Ozzie's act is new and fresh. He keeps the clubhouse loose and fire off his players so they can go out and perform 100%. If they don't, it's because they're too serious and not listening to Ozzie. After all, he has a ring, so who are they gonna listen to? Him or some no name like Jack McKeon? OZZIE IS GREAT! I will laugh at some point in August or September when the White Sox pass the Marlins in the attendance race. Good post, but I was referring to myself with the quote about speaking forcefully. Milkman was saying how I'd be more well liked if I didn't come across as a self serving know it all. I said you (meaning me) have to speak forcefully in this day and age of the anonymous Internet lest u get eaten alive. I like Robin. He's off to a fantastic start and if he keeps this up, yes he could have a greater run at this than Ozzeroo. I don't know if he'll want to manage forever; does anybody know if he likes the job? he's doing great right now. I liked him as a player and I like him as a manager no matter what Jordan says. I will forever defend Ozzie, but I want the White Sox to win every game and Robin to be the next Casey Stengel/Tony LaRussa/Earl Weaver, Billy Martin. But I also love Ozzie and will defend him. Sit back and enjoy the White Sox doing well, and no drama in the clubhouse (or if there is, it isn't known to the world cause of the manager). I love Ozzie for '05 and '06, he really seemed like a good manager. Then came the downward spiral that was him just trying to gain fame. Glad he moved onto a different ballclub. Maybe...at some point...the Marlins will decide they have to dump that contract when their attendance falls next season or the year after. Toward the end he was an infected, puss-oozing, stinking wound on the franchise. He needed to go. He is no longer the Sox manager and I don't care what happens with Miami.
