Kyyle23
QUOTE (knightni @ May 16, 2016 -> 08:57 AM) Watched Deadpool last night. Hard to really nail it down on whether I liked it or not. It was entertaining, but didn't really feel like a Marvel film. I'm not sorry that I watched it, but I probably wouldn't re-watch it. It is Fox Marvel, and even then Deadpool is in his own little headspace. You really have to treat it like its own thing

Boopa1219
QUOTE (Ezio Auditore @ May 16, 2016 -> 08:55 AM) My best guess is that Michael B. Jordan will be Erik Killmonger (rumor had that he was cast as a villain). Some dudes I know were arguing in a Facebook group that he wasn't big enough to be Killmonger, I had to remind them that comic book characters aren't real. That and you can always bulk up. I was hoping that Andy Serkis would come back for the film

Brian
Went and saw Nice Guys with my dad. It was us and a bunch of older couples. Their reactions to the Doctor Strange trailer was funny. "That looks confusing" "What the hell?"
Panerista
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 20, 2016 -> 08:44 PM) That answers the questin of super hero movies slowing down or not. Honestly, as long as Marvel gets about half of the super hero films right (which I believe it has more than exceeded that mark), they will continue to print money. Boopa1219
https://variety.com/2016/film/news/brie-lar...vel-1201786876/ Brie Larson is in talks to play Carol Danvers.
knightni
Finally saw Civil War tonight. Pretty powerful, but the Ant Man dialog and scenes weren't that great, nor did they have the same effect as they did in the solo film. When he becomes Giant Man, it's almost hilarious. Kyyle23
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 24, 2016 -> 12:01 PM) Rumor is that Mephisto will be the Big Bad in The Defenders After seeing the short teaser, seems like The Hand will be the big bad. Probably adapting Shadowlands with Elektra taking on Daredevils role
Boopa1219
Thor Ragnarok sounds amazing and going off how people are describing the sizzle reel (and the mockumentary, it finally sounds like we're getting a deep fantasy, epic film that just embraces everything about Asgard and the mythology. Spider Man sounds hilarious. Love the John Hughes take on it, it makes too much sense. GotG2 sounds more out there than the first one and that's great. Brie Larson has to be sold on Marvel's take on Carol Danvers because she gets to hire the director someone said, awesome to see a woman use her star power. Black Panher arguably has the best cast of any CBM, EVER All around GREAT Con from both DC and Marvel

It's Avengers: Infinity War and "Untitled Avengers" for now.

caulfield12
http://www.royalsreview.com/2016/9/15/1293...p-of-the-royals Have to go halfway down to start. Interesting insight on why MCU can never be great...the lack of a unifying musical theme or memorable soundtrack. Never had even thought about it, but makes a lot of sense in terms of the movie-going experience.
Kyyle23
Guardians of the Galaxy has a fantastic soundtrack That is a really bizarre stance. You can't create one continuous soundtrack for all of the marvel characters because they are all different. Star Wars is one complete story and the same characters. The song represents their storyline.
Quin
While most of the Marvel films have forgettable scores, Alan Silvestri's scores for The First Avenger and Avengers were phenomenal.

Rowand44
I'm not sure if it was just the twitter stream that showed 80 million Luke Cage commercials yesterday during the football game but I'm now ready for that to start!
