Jose Abreu currently has the lowest fWAR on the team

It is amazing to think we are a 16 win team with basically nothing from Jose Abreu. Who would have taken those odds on April 1?

It's raining in Baltimore. Weather app says 25% chance at 7 pm EST, 45% at 8 & 30% from there. Sat night isn't good, either. Sun = horrible.

Close. 6-3. Which will also be Danks Innings/ER.

7-6. There's no way that Danks doesn't give up at least 5 runs.

We just got to hope that Danks feels the pressure of Gonzalez at his heels and actually brings it tonight or at least keeps us in the game. Dude is beyond due for a solid start.

I'd like a rainout please. Then we get to skip Danks again.

I think they'll play. Both teams are off on Monday too--and it could be bad in Baltimore then too. They aren't coming home until four games are played.

The radar actually looks pretty good for playing tonight.

I don't think they would not skip Danks again. Going something like 10 days without pitching would not be beneficial for him or the team.

Sox deserve rainouts. OTOH, know a few sox fans in baltimore that wanted to see this team. Hope they play for them.

Keep the OP streak alive Sox!

I'll be DVRing this with the draft and Pens game tonight.

I'm not saying Danks hasn't been crap this year but in his last start he gave up 2 runs....

I recall there being some sort of problem getting these games at Baltimore in last year . . .

It was also the worst he has looked all year, which is saying something.

The funny thing is i felt like last start they were hitting him much harder than the previous start. The offense didnt help at all though, he deserved better only giving up 2

Does anyone know if a doubleheader has ever been played in anticipation of bad weather? I know several college football games that have been moved up due to bad weather like hurricanes.

Edit: It probably isn't even permitted by the CBA.

I hope they don't get rained out. They are on a roll. Keep playing.

I couldn't resist. He really is a human sloth!

Orioles have a ton of power in their lineup:

John Danks (L)

Orioles

Tyler Wilson ®

1. Adam Eaton (L) RF

2. Jimmy Rollins (S) SS

3. Jose Abreu ® 1B

4. Todd Frazier ® 3B

5. Melky Cabrera (S) LF

6. Brett Lawrie ® 2B

7. Avisail Garcia ® DH

8. Hector Sanchez (S) C

9. Austin Jackson ® CF

1. Joey Rickard ® RF

2. Manny Machado ® 3B

3. Chris Davis (L) 1B

4. Mark Trumbo ® DH

5. Adam Jones ® CF

6. J.J. Hardy ® SS

7. Nolan Reimold ® LF

8. Jonathan Schoop ® 2B

I live in this area (actually about 45 min south of Camden Yards and 20 min north of Nats Park). The forecast calls for rain off and on all weekend with temps in the 50s. I'll be surprised if all four games are played as scheduled.

My brother, nephew, and I drove to NY to see a game at old Yankee Stadium years ago. The game was scheduled for 7p but they moved it up to a 1p start to avoid bad weather forecast for that evening (which never came). I don't know what the criteria is for making that kind of schedule change, however.

What is it with these damn Baltimore trips? Two years in a row now.
