Every struggling SP rights the ship against the hitless wonders. Hahn needs to upgrade now.

Matt Harvey for Mets on Monday. That will put him back on track.

I've been saying it all week, but:

Eaton

Jackson

Frazier

Cabrera

Abreu

Lawrie

Garcia

Catcher

Saladino

And Abreu can move back to 3 if he keeps hitting

This. This right here.

Why Robin doesn't use your lineup suggestion is bafflling to me. It's almost like he doesn't want to win.

The funniest thing I read on this board thus far this week is when somebody wrote that the bottom of our lineup the other game of Avila, Saladino, and Jackson (in no particular order) looked like a "poop sandwich" I thought that was a very good analogy :)

Mentally, this team looks done.

Thats why they didnt send him down, they saw the schedule

Normally I am one to preach patience, but this is no longer a slump. A slump lasts a week or two. Good teams bounce back. The Sox haven't. Given recent history, I think is just who they are.

Matt Harvey is next!

I look for him to win easy.

Where was the team we saw in April? Where in the hell did it go? I just don't understand. I get that its a long season and teams are going to go into a funk, but how long is this going to last? Is this the true Sox team? I really hope not, but it seems like it is.

The pitching came back to life. The hitting sucked most of April as well but our pitching was so damn good we won close games nearly every night. I said in a lot of winner threads that we couldn't keep winning this 2-1, 3-2, 1-0 ball games. The pitching was bound to come back to average and the hitting still sucks

Which isn't to say I expect them to lose 8/10 for the rest of the season. They have been pretty unlucky lately.

They are, however, almost certainly a below average to bad team, offensively. The pitching will probably be fine, but scoring 0-3 runs a game won't net many wins.

Quintana has to be done now. QS, 115 pitches

Wait, isn't that the lineup we used yesterday?

Yes...

Arietta was on the ropes a couple of times and got out of it and Kris Bryant just iced it.

I know nobody cares about the cub but it is just frustrating to watch an offense bailout a pitcher while Sale crumbled, could get out of an inning and the offense retained its turtle posture.

Same as today.

So far, it's doing better than today's

I don't agree

This is where we need Lawrie to pump the team up and get a rally started

Trust me, I am all on the Saladino train unless Anderson is ready to come up.

I agree. I don't really dislike Rollins' game that much, but I do dislike him batting 2nd, especially when he is being outperformed by Saladino. You don't give your 2nd worst hitter in the lineup (Avila being worst) the 2nd most plate appearances over the course of a season

His last 15 games where he is .281 .328 .404

aka: the month of may

Baseball reference has his #'s at:

last 7 days .100/.100/.100/.200

last 14 days .200/.226/.233/.459

He had a hot start to the month but he's been ice cold since.

There are currently 5 games in progress in the MLB.

7 of 10 teams have 5 or more runs

1 team has four

1 team has three

1 team is the Chicago White Sox
