  1. Same. They really must not care much for Carlos Perez as well. If Lee starts in Charlotte, you're looking at Chuckie Robinson as the "veteran" backup.
  2. Doesn't matter how deep they are. You don't win if you don't supplement outside of your organization. No farm is perfect.
  3. I cancelled my subscription when they fired Fegan and cut Sox coverage. Out of principle won’t go back.
  4. I just don’t think he’s a huge loss. There was nothing impressive IMO in his short look. You can find guys like him everywhere across the league. He’s really name and pedigree over results at this point in his career.
  5. I would hope the Sox would go elsewhere. I'm not a fan of Dominguez at all.
  6. Hampton is really the only guy in that group that I would say would need to be a given, but they really don't have much left in the cupboard. Jones is far from a sure thing. I'd say any team could beat what they have to offer.
  7. So... I just got an email from the Sox. I am still a 20-game season ticket holder and I have been invited to a "Winter with the White Sox" - a season ticket holder party being held January 26, which happens to be the same weekend Soxfest is typically held. No other details were given as to what it actually entails.
  8. No clue. It certainly seemed like Manfred did everything in his power to not help them out though.
  9. I don't think Oakland stands a chance at seeing another team any time soon, if ever. Why would MLB put another franchise after a decades long battle to move the A's to Vegas? There's plenty of new markets they would rather expand too.
  10. If you believe the article Nightingale posted, then no.
  11. That 2006 team was better on paper too. I’m still mad how they finished that season.
  12. That probably sets the catchers for this team. Stassi and Lee as the starters with Robinson, Perez, and Hackenberg in Charlotte.
  13. Evidently neither did the Sox, considering Rowand was traded for Thome.
  14. Probably. I don't see why MIA or HOU for that matter would move either of those guys.
  15. https://twitter.com/Braves/status/1735808242129756541 They certainly love those odd trades.
  16. Agreed. And they’ve set themselves up nicely to have some quality assets they can move at the deadline if they aren’t in the race come July.
  17. There’s probably more people than we’d expect to take a chance as a GM for a pro ball team regardless of the situation. I don’t think you can say Getz is better than Hahn yet. Different? Yes. But better? I need to see more from him. He was not even qualified for the job IMO, but Jerry wanted a singular yes man and he got it. The biggest question is whether he can learn to operate in the restrictions that Jerry puts on him - something Hahn could never learn to do.
  18. I certainly wouldn’t mind the Rangers getting involved.
  19. The difference with a prospect getting hurt is you aren't depending on that prospect to be a difference maker immediately, nor are you depending on them to be used as trade bait. Eh, I disagree. Glasnow is set to make $25M compared to Cease's estimated $8.3M. Glasnow also has a massive injury history that Cease does not.
  20. They may never sign another free agent again. A guy like Flaherty making $14 after the season and red flags he had is nuts.
  21. Per Trevor Plouffe on Twitter. I honestly thought he was gonna come to the Sox to be with Katz.
  22. They obviously heard something and tried to jump the gun to get ahead of the bigger, legit insiders.
