I think the fact they've added Harrison (5.5M) and Kelly (8M) since the lockout ended is evidence that Jerry will run a payroll in this range. Getting Kimbrel off the books clearly wasn't essential for them to spend *something*, even if it's not in the areas any of us like. Trading away Kimbrel and signing Conforto to the Castellanos deal adds 4M to next seasons payroll.
