Chicago White Sox's Offseason FA Signings Trades Megathread

Okamoto would be great if they have trades lined up with Vargas/Sosa for pitching. I’m not counting on it though. -

We should sign him too. tbh I’d take YoYo back. He’s probably better than Vargas. -
Feels good.

Are teams really gonna let him play 3B? I've yet to see a report from anyone who's actually watched Okamoto say he can stick at 3B regularly. -
Bears fans just collectively busted…

This isn’t going the right way. 😢
-
WTF was that. How do you Willis do that?

Denver Broncos AFC West Champions...first time since 2015! Thanks for the assist, Houston!

Old school football. Run run run and play defense. Henry has 21 carries for 106 yards and 3 TD’s.

Thank you!

I wish they would have capitalized more on those 2 turnovers. They could easily be up 24-7.
-
So far so good.

It was the bench coach (Montoyo).

Getz is losing what little leverage he had. As it stands, we’re probably trading Robert just to save Jerry a little money. From a fan standpoint, I am pulling the plug on my Robert trade endorsement which was tepid anyway. Barring some unforeseen crazed GM that blows Getz away with a top prospect Revisit this idea at the deadline if Robert raised his value

"Tekerman joked that Robert is so indefatigable in the batting cage that his presence is sometimes discouraging to his younger clients, convincing them they'll never make the majors if Robert represents the sort of work ethic necessary to play at the highest level" "He’s a mentor to his teammates, especially the younger ones, with great work ethic and a great sense of humor.” "It speaks to his work ethic, which speaks to how great he can be,”... “He’s got a really good work ethic. I saw it in the spring, and I was like, ‘OK, maybe this is (just because it’s) the spring. He’s getting after it in the spring.’ He gets after it every single day." “He practices extremely hard. He’s extremely focused.” "“What he does defensively, offensively. What he’s capable of doing, and certainly on the basepaths, we just love Luis Robert.” "He shows up every day very motivated. Sometimes in baseball it just clicks and you don’t really know why. But it’s certainly not going to click if someone doesn’t have the right work ethic and that’s not the case with Luis. He’s a pro and wants to get this right." I could add more and more quotes from various times from various people, but I think you get the point. Imagine still questioning Robert's work ethic in the year of our Lord 2026.

Not in NEARLY the same volume.

Which of course got put on Robert being lazy, and not the hitting coach.

What did Milwaukee do to unlock Vaughn's potential? Did they change anything about his swing? Did he just need a change of scenery? It's pretty wild how he completely turned into the hitter we all hoped he would be as soon as he was traded, and then sustained it.
