I actually think he's done quite well. Only one I'm confused by is Doyle.

I think the sox got better in their bullpen today. They improved catching just with the subtraction of Romo I think Castillo is going to help down the stretch I don't know what to make of Doyle other then buy low.

We gave up next to nothing to get Bart. He is hitting .226 and has a positive WAR. .680 OPS. Romo is at -.6 WAR hitting .134 and has a .500 OPS. This is an upgrade. He is a positive defensive WAR too. Romo makes Bart look like Ivan Rodriguez, he never needs to get a Major league at bat with the white sox again. Just land a SP and this was a great trade deadline. But dont go do a massive overpay. We got a SP, solid RP, a backup catcher and didnt break the bank in any way.

Can't wait to see the overpay on this one.

Look, I don't even mind that people who have opinions, it is the ones whose opinions changed based on if the player is inside, or outside, of this organization. Adams didn't go from being a potential replacement in the rotation to expendable, just because the payee of his check changed. He was always a guy coming off of TJS who probably wasn't going to be any help this season.

With an OPS of almost .700. Getting something close to .700 OPS from our catching spot would be a huge improvement.

Don't worry about the platoon splits IMO. He had normal splits the past couple years. Statistically speaking, you shouldn't buy into surprising position player platoon splits unless he's kept it up for years.
