  2. Mets' Luis Robert Jr. Placed on Waivers in New MLB Rumors...The New York Mets placed outfielder Luis Robert Jr. on outright waivers, according to MLB.com's Anthony DiComo.“Any team that claims him would be on the hook for the $3 million remaining on Robert's contract for this season. Robert's deal also includes a $20 million team option for 2027 or a $2 million buyout. In total, there is approximately $5 million guaranteed to Robert.“
  3. You keep doing this but tying the Sox winning percentage to Castillo is ridiculous. He isn’t helping and the team is winning despite his awful performances. You know this as well, yet you keep making this nonsensical argument. Yes, it can still be a bad trade just because the Sox are in first place. Also, no one wants Jerry to continue paying for old washed-up has-been’s and retreads that are nearing retirement. This has been the Sox way for ages. Lip makes this argument all the time and he’s right. Baseball is a young man’s game. Stop acquiring the James Shields of baseball that are on the steps to retirement.
  4. How could you believe in anything but brooms? This team is insane.
  5. Not sure the Pope would approve of shenanigans like that.
  6. Today

  7. Dude's an introvert (you could tell from his All-Star appearance), but vibed real well with Colson and Vargas when they were all here. When rosters expand, it'd basically be like: Would you rather have Robert (and his price tag) or Rikku.
  8. I can’t see him making it to the White Sox. Are players picked up in waivers in September eligible for the postseason?
  9. Lane C An actual star. See Machado 2019 Harper Z.Wheeler, etc. Unfortunately, Skubal is it for for FA. But there's always Sato and two Japanese starters.
  10. I saw an article that listed the 3 most likely landing spots for La Pantera being Phillies, Guardians and Blue Jays
  11. I want to see brooms tomorrow. Brooms and wands…this really is a magical season isn’t it.
  12. In the highlights from that first game against the Mets, Robert was getting big hugs from other players pregame.
  13. Robert will come here and be injured within two weeks. I 100% guarantee it. If Getz bring him back he is asking for trouble. The Sox have finally washed out the stench of the worst season in MLB history. We should want nothing to do with that.
  14. Just one of those things. A trip to the moon on gossamer wings... Makes me upset to think about it. Hard to forget.
  15. Is Teel up on Tuesday?

    Teel 1-4 with 3k
  18. I'm assuming you're trolling, actually. Senseless? The team's in first place. Their winning pct is better after the TDL than before. Why do you need me to validate your narrative? The team obviously had a plan on how to change his pitch selection. He needs to execute. All the rest is meaningless. I don't care how much money Jerry Reinsdorf pays these guys. I find it's the guys who scream about how cheap JR is that suddenly scream about JR spending money. Y'all scream when he doesn't spend money, then y'all scream when he takes money on. Pick a lane.

Sandlin gets the 7 inning complete game shutout. 1BB 9K2H.
  20. spotrac2026 Chicago White Sox Payroll TableAn updated look at the Chicago White Sox 2026 payroll table, including team totals, retained figures, and complete breakdowns of player salaries, and bonuses.Well, technically 13.7%
  21. So we traded for a pitcher who is worth -1.0 bWAR. He was worth -0.7bWAR when we traded for him. He was one of the worst pitchers in the league when we traded for him and he continues to be one of the worst. He is 33 years old. He is under contract for $24 million next session. The guy we traded isn't a blue chip prospect, but he's on fire, leads the minors in OPS and appears to have a legit bat. Minus Sir Anthony's contract, we owe him $14m next season. That is literally 15% of our current payroll. We have a notoriously cheap owner. That's the worst part of the trade. But somehow you can't see how that was a bad trade. I feel like you're trolling at this point with the senseless positivity.
