So what would you have done with Dominguez? Paid for him and Castillo? I'm just confused as to what fantasy land alternative is being proposed. Of course they aren't considering that. He's the 15th best prospect in a bottom third system. It's fine. This is insane.

Has anyone here actually seen Boston Smith play defense? I have not. You get a bat like that, you keep it. He minds me of Mike Piazza in his early stages. Now he's in the Hall. He might be a little rough around the edges on defense. So what? Mariners got what they wanted. For us, it's a stupid trade.

Agreed. I think people are considering him a top prospect (maybe subconsciously) because of the heater he has been on at the plate. I don’t think enough people are considering where he will play defensively.

Fair point. I'd prefer that Seranthony Dominguez not be on the Sox anymore so I was fine with that part of the trade. We'll take Castillo and give you a middle of pack prospect if you also take Dominguez just seems fair to me, personally.

It was much more fun when Martin pitching at home was pretty much a guaranteed win.
