  2. Completely forgot about basketball. The Triumvirate!!!
  3. Seattle SD and Colorado still to go. Rangers most recent to break through.
  4. Hopefully the phrase "Ol Yeller" is used.
  5. Just releasing Benintendi? HaSeong Kim would be fine for penis on the dollar for 2-3 months. Might even start to hit again like about three seasons ago. At this point, it will be under a $5 million deal like N.Lopez or Rojas.
  6. Luis Robert Fernando Tatis, Jr. 2021 Carlos Rodon
  7. Hope they ask him about the plan for Luis Castillo going forward....
  8. Agree, what a contrast with the 2026 White Sox and that sorry cast of characters.
  9. Yeah, this is the game right here. The locals want their payoff.
  10. Red Sox were 14 under in early June before their 15 and 9 game winning streaks.
  11. I do it because he's earned it. His OPS his last 60 games was under .600. I hope they figure something out. They did before, but if he can't lay off pitches he can't hit, his fall will be as fast as his rise, which was pretty incredible.
  12. And let's always spell his name "Kolson." Clever, you see, because "K" represents strikeouts. That'll show him!
  13. That's the fun of this off season, whenever it happens, is figuring out what to make of half of these guys, Mune and Colson at the top of that list, but imagine trying to evaluate the futures of Hagen, Schultz, McDougal, and a few others too.
  14. I would try to replace both Montgomerys. They need 2 good bats and decent defenders at RF, and LF, move Antonacci to DH, get a competent SS to fill in until Rock comes up, get two legit top of rotation starters and a legit closer. Then they might be a contender. Go into next season with this current roster and they'll be lucky to win 79 games.
  15. A TJ surgery wipes out a pitcher for 2 seasons
  16. If Mune and Kolson's second halves are real, there is a problem. I do think the last few games especially, everyone except for Antonocci and Vargas were trying to hit every pitch about 500 feet. I have never seen so many whiffs on fastballs right down the pipe but 2 to 4 inches above the strike zone. Have to lay off those. Usually, it's easier said than done.
  17. The difference is Tampa is more consistent. Wil falls short in some ways but kids liked playing for him and was one game short of the ALCS. But Getz - no. He needs to focus on player development and his success not on one big trade.
  18. The Sox were 1 or 2 in the AL for BBs, Runs, wRC+, offensive fWAR. My take is that a team of rookies froze up when they realized where they were and panicked. Their approach got them within a game of 1st place in the Central, and to game 5 of the ALDS. There's work to do to keep improving their offense, and to specifically work with Mune, Colson and Braden to even out their games. They had an above average offense in MLB this season. Their approach doesn't suck.
  19. You’re talking about drafting, development and player acquisition. I’m strictly talking about how Tampa Bay deploys the pitchers on their ML roster.
  20. Lets make every thread about Colson Montgomery.
  21. The Sox finished tied for 2nd in the AL with 104 wRC+. They were 5th in MLB. For as long as I've been online, fans have been screaming about the Sox using stats-driven strategies. Detractors kept posting how small our data analysis departments were, and how we would never catch up to the league because of a modern day Zeno's Paradox. We finally get close to state of the art, and everyone's complaining about one guy in the batting order who should be in a different spot, how the current trends are ruining the game, or whatnot. 25 other fanbases are all saying the exact same things.
  22. they will have to stand in line with many other teams who might spend more.
  23. Today

  24. Bulls look young and fun. Might not win more than 30 games, but I think they will avoid the bottom 3 and be a fun watch most nights.
  25. Not even close to the Brewers. Look at guys who left and they still replace them.
  26. I am a big Caleb fan. Also, Leonard Miller could salvage the Ayo trade.
  27. We assume it's good for both sides. We think the other side is far more gullible. We use Jerry's yardstick of economics when it comes to starting pitchers. It's an over inflated market. I'm also tired of the constant of players getting better leaving the Sox. That is the deeper problem in the organization. Trading guys who are not good enough to start ends up searching the waiver wire because you also lost a bench player.
