  1. Past hour

  2. I don't know if Newcomb can go away, but I'd give him the first and then go Hicks for 2 and then Fedde as the bulk with Taylor going 2 or 3 to close it out.
  3. On the bright side of things...they have their key bullpen pieces fresh, some balls should bounce their way tomorrow and cade pitched 2 innings so hopefully his arm falls off if needed. Go get em again boys...
  4. Needed to end it today. Couldn't let them feel any kind of hope. Can't help thinking it's going 5 now.
  5. I am concerned about the pitching matchup for game 4 and possibly for game 5. We don't have two TOR starters and a lot of our bullpen arms are toast.
  6. It is now a series where the next two games are much easier for Guardians to win because of their starting pitching while our pitching continues to be a grab-bag.
  7. Fedde Hicks Taylor This was supposed to be Luis Castillo's start two months ago. Meanwhile, Adell and Griffin both made key contributions. The White Sox might still get past CLE, but a team with 1 1/2 starters just doesn't stack up against the remaining playoff teams. Maybe SD...but they at least have Pivetta and Buehler/Ray. NYY Rays Dodgers Braves Brewers...no way Jose. Not Venable's fault. A lot of this was smoke and mirrors with a flawed roster...to win four consecutive road playoff games when they’d only won five TOTAL playoff games from 1960-2025 (with the obvious exception of 2005)??? Pretty remarkable to pull even that off, but also quite fortunate it was Houston and CLE. The limitations of this roster approach were just exposed, though. That they'd hardly hit any minefields with pen and openers was kind of miraculous in the first place.
  8. This series is far from over and I hope the Sox understand this. No guarantees even up 2-0. Hudson hasn't been sharp basically since the All-Star break and it was another two out hit that broke the game open.
  9. You’re pulling a LeBron on us now! Ugh
  10. Also, I approve of all of the RonRage.
  11. Easy to dream on a version of this game where those Teel and/or Vargas liners get through, momentum and pitching decisions would have been very different. The walks today really set up the Guards bloops to be more impactful than they should have. That is their entire offensive strategy, and you simply can't play into it so much. Make them put together a 4 run inning with no free bases and tip your cap if they manage to do it. Don't help them out.
  12. The amount of pressure this team will have to win tomorrow at home, I got to hope they can play loose. The pitching were playing too scared and walking too many guys, offense was pressing and striking out too many times. Still had our chances though, we have to put pressure on Messick and make him work with runners on and get him out early
  13. f*** Merkin. What a joke.
  14. Jinxed us, fucking guy...permaban him ASAP
  15. The Sox still have some room to retain their aggressive edge. It might be a mistake to play not to lose and change anything. Not that some of those swings weren’t maddening. Mune really went nuts in that last ab
  16. After Cleveland smoked a few outs off Newcomb, most of their hits the rest of the game were complete bullshit. Adell's triple was actually 101 off the bat, but that ball hit anywhere but down the lines is a single at best and most likely a routine grounder.
  17. 4-1 playoff record. GOATed!
  18. I will say the other silver lining is we didn't burn Hicks or Taylor in this game. I would figure both could go multiple innings if we are ahead. I think you have 5 innings to get it to those guys. You have to bridge with Kay, Fedde, Smith and Newcomb to get there.
  19. I guess this pitching format helped our constant bullpen approach. But it also helped Cleveland: they can throw their top 2 in games 1, 2, 4 and 5, all with 4 days rest.
  20. All of the strike-outs by our power hitters on high fastballs should be addressed. Take a pitch even with two strikes unless the ball is down in the zone. Stop chasing out of the strike zone. I expect CLE starter and relievers to follow form tomorrow.
  21. Yes sir, agreed. Heads would have brought us home, so we gotta let him take us there in spirit.
  22. I know it sucks to lose but it happens. Look at how they drove in their RBIS: Adell Ground Ball not hard Hit Pop-up by Ramirez that falls in front of Grichuk Pop-up by Genao that falls in front of Grichuk Pop- Up by Rocchio that falls Look at the key outs by the White Sox Teels Slams a Ball with 2nd and 3rdthat is caught. Vargas gets doubled off Vargas Slams a Ball and Ramirez is able to smother it Im not saying they played a clean game by any means. Especially the walks. But you are not going to win them all and sometimes a break here or there turns the game. They just didnt get them today.
  23. Martin is utter trash btw. Agreed.
