  2. We are not on standard time. How many times??? We are on Daylight time until November. The game is at 1:00 central daylight time. Just use CT all year. Thank you. And Go Sox!!
  3. Charley Lau
  4. That's a collection of some of the worst pitchers in baseball with a couple good arms mixed in there. It's a pointless metric. And, again, I still like Hicks.
  5. It’s Munesama day everyone… just not the kind of Mune day we’re looking for.
  6. Great point. Have that game in my radio library: September 22, 1959 - The White Sox clinched the American League pennant beating the Indians 4-2 in Cleveland. Al Smith and “Jungle” Jim Rivera hit back-to-back home runs in the game. Smith also threw out former Sox star “Minnie” Minoso trying to score a run. A crowd estimated by the Chicago Sun-Times at 125,000 was at Midway Airport to greet the Sox when they returned home. All this on a night when Chicago fire commissioner Robert Quinn ordered the air raid sirens turned on to celebrate the title, causing fear and panic in a number of non-baseball fans who thought the Russians were attacking. The Sox would wind up winning the 1959 pennant by five games over the Tribe with a mark of 94-60. While they were near the bottom in most offensive categories the pitching was stellar and the defense had three Gold Glove winners in Nellie Fox, Luis Aparicio and Sherm Lollar. The Sox also won 35 games that season by one run with 15 losses.
  7. I get Peacock, Hulu, and Disney+ for free through Xfinity.
  8. Rain supposed to stop one hour after game time.
  9. It's an app, not a channel
  10. This is what sways me off Emerson exactly but I acknowledge that I don’t know about the kid as much as others here do.
  11. [Insert HES ALIVE here]
  12. Depending on where you sit, it is one of my favorites. Love sitting in the LF bleachers.
  13. Hit tool is the hardest skill to project and as a carrying tool I hate it. This kid is facing mediocre HS pitching and even on the summer circuit he's facing what is basically ASL at best. At best. Other games it's just more mediocre HS pitching. Just pick Roch or Lackey and do not outsmart yourselves. Let someone else take on that downside risk. You have the #1 pick, no need.
  14. We are way overdue to light up a right hander. Would love to see it today.?
  15. I signed up for the Peacock channel yesterday.Doe anybody know what channel it is on? I Have AT%T Uverse. I've tried calling AT%T and they're closed on Sunday.
  16. Looking at the radar it should be clear by game time. The hour by hour has it clear at game time with some rain around 4PM then clear again.
  17. Almost in Cleveland. Not good Right no but a window from 2-4
  18. I’m glad we don’t go with the dreaded Sunday lineup for every day game.
  19. Today
  20. What’s the latest weather report? A rain-out wouldn’t be terrible for us, but it also being a Sunday I’d really love to get a game in
  21. My vote is for Emerson. We have a shortstop now. We have an imediate back up (JaGon) in case of injury. I think the Sox should look for tomorrow's star shortstop. Bonemer hit 2 more homers last night. He'll be here soon. Keep the minor league pipeline stocked. I'd probably look for pitching in rounds 2-5.
  22. I signed up for Peacock yesterday morning. I have AT%T- Uverse. They said they would contact me this morning and give me the channel information. They haven't done so. I called AT%T and they are closed on Sunday. Does anybody know what channel this game is on?
  23. Good assessment here. Based on Murphy’s emergence and even Eisert being serviceable at times, I think it’s clear that a right handed leverage reliever is the biggest bullpen need. I don’t trust any other right hander in this unit besides Taylor. If they want to circle back to Boston, a Sonny Gray + Garrett Whitlock package makes a ton of sense.
  24. The Tiggers with 3 all stars is pretty comical
