  1. Past hour

  2. As much as I want Saturday to be here, I hope the boys rest up these next two days. They are likely hungover today so at least that's a start.
  3. Let’s not forget who kicked them into the 10 game tailspin lol
  4. Not to make light of people with disabilities in any capacity whatsoever. Serious question here... Is Sam Antonacci on the spectrum?
  5. I think they go Hagen and then Davis game one and Schultz then Burke in game 2. Kay's outing yesterday was not much off of the El Duque game. He and Fedde throwing an inning or two of high leverage is an asset.
  6. agreed. and nearly ALL of the angst people had about this team is solved in the playoffs, when you have better advanced scouting...players are utilized for the moment (not longevity of the 162 game grind) and more analytical decisions than gut feelings. The Sox DOMINATED the astros both on the field and in the dugout this series. First team in baseball history to have the lead in every inning in a multiple game series just shows what Will can actually do with proper prep.
  7. No yet bro.....let me enjoy of Friday night of drinking bourbon, listening to music, being jolly and giddy about my White sox before I get nervous and anxious on Saturday
  8. If someone is expecting the guy from June to show up tomorrow they’re mistaken.
  9. I'm going to game 3. Hopefully its a night game
  10. It wasn’t so bad that it erased the starts prior
  11. Bee Gees ! And so eloquently stated by you to remind me why I like music and sports so much. Unfortunately the clinging to this heartbreak over the embarrassment of 2024 and refusing to acknowledge that they are the broken ones, not the White Sox. You can't let emotions in sports rule your perspectives as a fan. Having said that getting all wrapped up in a winning team is what drives you to attend games and buy merchandise so it's not easy to divorce yourself and become a dispassionate diehard such as myself and why I have problems with and run-ins with the "haters". You need to absorb almost everything White Sox related and do your best not to become biased by tunnel vision such has "It's all bad "or "it's all good." You can't be blinded by perception that because someone was a part of a failed organization and the department they were heading means they did a bad job. There are good people in bad organizations who never have the power to do things their way. So while on the surface it looks bad, as fans we aren't privy to how much power Getz actually had under Hahn and Williams and Reinsdorf. we think we know he sacked and because of that ignorant biased view every little thing he did went under a microscope by those letting emotion cloud their thought processes and that was easily the majority of this community and why I labeled it Tox-Talk for its emotional toxic nature. And like any individual working under financial constraints you have to do things unconventionally so your efforts dealing with MLB castor players is again perceived as bush league . Look how often we heard the Sox should keep Robert Crochet. It's extremely difficult not to want instant success so you can have those joyous feelings back again, but these things take time. We are still years away from having a productive Latin America talent pipeline. Many were saying that the Bannister magic wore off as if turning little talent pitching into studs was so easy . Lots of people rather complain about bums we didn't try to get or the guys we traded away were all superstars in the making who were invisible to us until they become part of a trade. Then it becomes a clash of who's the bigger whiners the ones criticizing every little thing or the one criticizing the whiners for not seeing the "vision" Getz and his new employees (Venable especially) would often talk about that they all believed in . If you believed that vision too as a fan you were a cultist drinking White Sox kool-aid, too stupid and hypnotized by Sox propaganda to think independently. It was all actually very frightening how the power structure here was so abusive towards a few in the minority willing to speak about their perspective that tried very hard to keep an open mind about Getz rebuilding the organization from the ground up and surrounding himself with people who could help mitigate his lack of experience. And sadly it's still a thing despite the "truce".
  12. Soccer stadium luxury seat info.. today? Please...
  13. They played far more competitive teams. The NL central is an underrated division. They are the Brewers b****. No one on that team picked up the slack for PCA. He were are today going into the next round because someone picked up the slack for the big 3. There's a lot more of that with the duct tape pitching staff.
  14. It’s four games Wednesday if the NL games are game 4. Guessing we’ll be the noon start. Thursday probably 4 pm unless the Yankees-Rays is over.
  15. Nope TBD Just 5 pm again for G2 Dodgers at ATL/Philly and MIL at SD will be the two evening Fox games
  16. It also is tearing the team apart. Breslow Anthony Crochet Miller (LHR) vs. Contreras and Gray
  17. Any word what the Wednesday and Thursday time slots will be? Assuming late afternoon.
  18. Cubs were the streakiest team I had ever seen 2 10 game wins and a 10 game loss. Let the league in HR and HR allowed. Sadly they were on the wrong end of everything after their last series with the Brewers. These playoffs are going great.
  19. More from a national and local media, city-wide excitement perspective, surely. 120+ years since the last time, etc. Sox-Guardians still getting the worst time slots for ALDS imo.
  20. It looks like we should have good weather for the ALDS. Sunny and in the 60s for games 1 and 2 in Cleveland and then forecast for next Wed and Thurs is sunny and in the 70s at home. If it goes to Game 5, extended forecast says sunny and 65 in Cle that day.
  21. post season baseball will do that in a dire situation. If it were reversed would the Yank use Judge as a DH? Always amazed when organizations still win with the absence of a MVP type player. It tells you winning is a habit. Teams like those don't have the same definition of competitive as we do. Ours is weak.
  22. Today

  23. I honestly could care less what the cubs do but I also don't live in Chicago anymore. I think we're a better team this year despite not having as good of a record.
  24. Tyson Bagent should throw out the first pitch Wednesday. He seems to be a Sox fan
  25. I don't understand how there are Sox fans that would want to see a White Sox vs Cubs World Series, that means you actively want the Cubs to keep advancing and that they also have a shot at winning it all. Makes no sense to me. Imagine even if you 100% believe the Sox will win, but what if they don't, it's baseball, probably the most unpredictable of all sports, then you will never ever stop Cubs fans from chirping in our ear. No effing way. It's like hoping the Packers make it to the NFC title game as a Bears fan wanting to defeat them there, nah, I hope the Packers are in last place, irrelevant to the Superbowl contenders argument. Same with the Cubs. Two franchises with some of the most arrogant and annoying fanbases.
