Lip how does the scoreboard at The Rate list the cubs? I live 100 miles west of Chicago and most folks here look clueless when I mention I'm a Sox fan. Like they have no idea what I'm talking about

I received a email from the White Sox today. They want season ticket holders to renew for the 2027 season before August 3, 2026. I don't remember them asking for our money so far in advance. I wonder what happens to the money if no games are played in 2027.

ESPN has the Sox playoff odds now at 65.6% up from 20.9% in May, the largest odds increase of any team. Conversely, it had the Guardians playoff odds in May at 88.7% and now at 72.4%. Sox trending in the right direction. I would venture to say Sox should be favorites to win the Central, and make the playoffs. You can put it on the board. Yes!

You can't pass on Roch and then have him go on to be star. If he flops it would hard to blame the Sox. After all he was the consensus smart pick. I guess it's a CYA situation. Besides he is the best player. Don't be fooled by some Johnny come lately.

I voted Emerson but would be very happy with Roch too. It's a 1A/1B thing for me

I admit, I do root for 2 teams. The White Sox and whoever is playing the cubs.

I think a lot will depend on what happens the next four games in Cleveland. If the Sox do well they can afford to give him more time. If they crap the bed, I'm guessing his status will at least be discussed by the front office.
