5/22 GT - Sox @ NYY (Double Header)
I think they're just misclassing this pitch. His tight slider at 87ish is still there. His change-slurve has changed a bit.

5/22 GT - Sox @ NYY (Double Header)
Idk about bias, just thought it was weird AF that an announcer was excited for a perfect game to end.

Ravech was like excited the perfect game was gone. Weird stuff.

What a stupid stat that was. Yes, he's not a reliever so his velocity and k rate should come down lol

Pollock the one guy I could understand resting with his injury history.

I think it's safe to say the league made a phone call this morning and made it clear that anderson and Donaldson shouldn't play in the same game today. So la russa claims trainers said he couldn't go two games. Basically tim gets a pseudo-one-game suspension because of Donaldson.

Guaranteed leury plays both games again...

Josh Donaldson called Tim Anderson "Jackie"
Only person who hates black people and denies racism more than Schilling is probably Whitlock.

Josh Donaldson called Tim Anderson "Jackie"
You can actually read Josh's lips when Grandal is going off on him... he basically keeps saying "I didn't say anything." He was going to deny it as much as he could but decided to own up to it at the end of the game.

Josh Donaldson called Tim Anderson "Jackie"
Hasn't fooled them. Half this board is supporting Donaldson for different reasons. True colors on full display tonight.

Josh Donaldson called Tim Anderson "Jackie"
I was just thinking.. man, what's an old white man like green line think about what tim anderson feels and thinks about being black in the current mlb game and culture. Surely he's an expert on this topic and understand the context and point better than that tim anderson guy

Our catchers combined batting average...
Is 3 points lower than TA's batting average. 346 to 343 That's not something you see everyday. Gotta hand it to em.

5/19 Sox @ Royals | 1:10PM CT | Velasquez vs Hernandez
I won't get over that one for a long time. If my coach tried to do that to me in college/high school I'd have ignored his stupid ass decision.

I'm not really a fan of criticizing plays like that; these guys have internal clocks that we could never understand. He got him. That one was close but still, no different than the .2 seconds earlier.

BREAKING NEWS! Someone alert Rick Hahn!

5/19 Sox @ Royals | 1:10PM CT | Velasquez vs Hernandez
I cannot remember the last time I saw a team put a hit and run on with men on 1st and 3rd and 1 out. Makes no sense. It's as stupid as making the first or last out at third base.
-
5/19 Sox @ Royals | 1:10PM CT | Velasquez vs Hernandez
Sox just hit and run with a guy on third base lololol
-
5/19 Sox @ Royals | 1:10PM CT | Velasquez vs Hernandez
Moncada didn't even run through the base with a potential double play ball lol

Why can't Tim just be the hitting coach and manager? Outside of being allergic to walking, Tim's approach at the plate is gold.
-
5/19 Sox @ Royals | 1:10PM CT | Velasquez vs Hernandez
Tim did exactly what he should have with that pitch; unless you're talking about someone else.
-

Tim just too good.

Not gonna lie guys, I'm kind of rooting for zero runs here just for the LOLs

I've been saying the past two years the Sox should have been all in at both deadlines trying to win a title because the future is never guaranteed. Amazing thing is when Lynn gets back, it's likely this rotation bails them out of a lot of faults and they do go on a hot run, but the underlying issues with La Russa at the helm and with their shortcomings are harder to overcome in the post-season; if they get there.
