The biggest problem with all of this is it's just more middling. They did too many trades for a "retooling" and not enough for a rebuild. No real direction just more half assing. And enough of this trading Burger at his peak, or because of his defense nonsense. They traded him instead of Eloy because they are too stubborn and stupid to admit failure. Instead they're doubling down on this atrocious core out of spite.

Well said. I'd trade eloy over burger 99 times out of 100. However I value attitude, health, and results in ballplayers....clearly something the sox don't. Good get, bad trade. This team, at least for now, is even more unlikable. Something I didn't think was possible. They may be at the bottom of the league in most categories, but they'll certainly be number 1 in attendance reduction.

All things considered that was one of the better, most complete ballgames of the season.

It's almost like not acquiring an actual closer to fill in for our injured/sick closer had horrendous consequences on this season.

I'm fairly certain Hahn will get canned at some point but its pretty mind-boggling he's going to be around to kick this next "transition" off.

Ozzie isn't managing anywhere because he was one of the first real casualties of cancel culture. He said some dumb crap in Miami and nobody wants to take that chance again with his loose mouth. That being said he's done his time in the penalty box. Ozzie may have worn out his stay but he was a fantastic manager from 04 to 08. He got bored the last few years. I think he'd go the same route. Come back with energy and vigor, do some great work for 4 or 5 years then fade again. I'm all for it. He is absolutely what this organization needs right now.
