  1. Even my phone doesn’t want to think about this guy. It keeps autocorrecting Grifol to Grudki(?) Anyway, fire Pedro. Hire Grudki.
  2. This is also my experience watching on tv since every at bat pretty much ends the same anyway.
  3. It's exhausting because both sides are naming names and then the other side is saying "No, I don't feel the way you feel about that player." It's also exhausting because "developed" is a nebulous and relative term so no one is going to be in agreement on what it means or looks like. It really is all opinion.
  4. I don't really have a dog in this fight because it's all just exhausting, but come on man. Earlier you were basically asking for irrefutable evidence that proves the Getz system failed a given prospect, but much of your reasoning for why these guys aren't failures is based on your opinion.
  5. Yeah but the Sox can now put that sweet cash towards an international signing and who knows, maybe they find themselves a Jose Rodriguez type caliber prospect.
  6. What? I think Moncada has played through injuries waaaaaay more than anyone else on the team the past few years.
  7. I'm slightly more confident in Kopech excelling in the closer role than I am Crochet staying healthy, so he's my pick.
  8. Yeah, it's mind numbing that he's doing this thing as a hobby, completely sucks at it, AND has no interest in trying to be better at it.
  9. They can only pick as high as #10 in the draft due to the new draft rules.
  10. I understand that losing Robert, Eloy, and Moncada makes them significantly worse. I also understand that they were going to be absolutely pitiful even with those guys playing. I also ALSO understand that we are going to hear a lot about how their lack of success was due to injuries, which is extra comical because like, THE INJURIES ARE YOUR FAULT!
  11. I think the cost of that approach is an obvious deterrent for JR, but another reason he hasn't/won't go that route is because it would mean that he would have to do something...different! *gasp* And that would require, you know, actual work.
  12. At least Eloy, Moncada, and Robert are together again. Kind of heartwarming if you ask me.
  13. I think they actually do win today. Just a strange feeling I have. Emphasis on strange.
  14. “I don’t pay attention to cities. I’ve never thought about a city. There’s baseball.”
  15. I think it's safe to say that baseball means more to baseball players than the average person's job means to the average person (Anthony Rendon notwithstanding). Factor in the competitive nature of the game and I just don't think it's an accurate comparison.
  16. Oh yeah for sure. Although I do feel bad for the players. It's got to be such a miserable existence.
  17. Easy to root for, but hard to watch.
  18. To me this just means that Mookie Betts would also be 1-8 on the season if he was playing the Sox schedule. Not impressed.
  19. I believe the house has collapsed, the entire plot of land has disappeared into a sink hole and someone threw a stick of dynamite down into the hole.
  20. This guy is just bursting at the seams with personality.
  21. I wonder if teams would be hesitant to move him back to a relief role and risk messing with his development as a starter, thus making him more of an investment for the following years. Which does not provide any further clarity on what his trade value might be lol.
  22. With a fraction of the power and plate discipline.
  23. Not a whole lot of other options to lead off. I guess I'd try Moncada or Sheets there as the only two that seem to be able to work a walk every now and then.
  24. “Hey Pedro, quick follow up. What if you’re ‘going through it’ in April and August, and also May and June and July?Oh, and September too.”
