Sure, but a big part of a manager's job is handling the media and being the main communicator of the team's status and overall message. He is awful at it.

Is it wrong to want the Sox to embarrass themselves?
Appreciate the thoughtful post, but I'm hung up on something. Are you saying you remain objective and keep emotions out of both the lows AND the highs of the franchise? Or that you can flip a switch to block out the lows but still experience the highs?

Depends. If it's a right click, you just go to Edit and increase all his attributes.

Bleacher Report ranks Sox MiLB system 3rd
The organization deserves it for many reasons, the fans do not (unless you ask JR)

Love AJ's dismissal of Schultz because he hasn't "heard much about him." AJ, you're allowed to look stuff up.

This is an internet message board for a sports team that went from title contender to worst team in the league faster than most could process. I don’t understand how you continue to be surprised and/or bothered that the majority of the discussion is negative.

Chris Stratton and Chris Flexen are the same guy.

Vaughn’s warning track power would fare better at the United Center.

Hey buddy, maybe brushing off once in a lifetime experiences like the eclipse because there's baseball is the not the best way to get guys to relax and enjoy the game.

One that understands it has to get worse before it can get better. Most of us are right there with you.

That’s beside the point now. Losing 115 or whatever is a given. They need different leadership and direction.

Sox Quote of the Day 4/13...
Pedro flushing so fast I don’t know if the tank even has time to refill.

4/13 GT - Reds at Sox (1:10pm)
I’m a baseball fan in general so I’m still gonna watch and follow (along with watching other teams). But also, I’m invested in seeing how bad this can get. I stopped reacting to losses some time early last year, so now I’m just kicking back and watching how things unfold.

I am all for this running bit. We deserve a little amusement.

Even my phone doesn’t want to think about this guy. It keeps autocorrecting Grifol to Grudki(?) Anyway, fire Pedro. Hire Grudki.

4/12 Reds @ Sox 6:40 CDT
This is also my experience watching on tv since every at bat pretty much ends the same anyway.

Colas
It's exhausting because both sides are naming names and then the other side is saying "No, I don't feel the way you feel about that player." It's also exhausting because "developed" is a nebulous and relative term so no one is going to be in agreement on what it means or looks like. It really is all opinion.
-
Colas
I don't really have a dog in this fight because it's all just exhausting, but come on man. Earlier you were basically asking for irrefutable evidence that proves the Getz system failed a given prospect, but much of your reasoning for why these guys aren't failures is based on your opinion.

2025 Old Sock Drawer
Yeah but the Sox can now put that sweet cash towards an international signing and who knows, maybe they find themselves a Jose Rodriguez type caliber prospect.

4/10 Sox @ Guardians 5:10PM CT
What? I think Moncada has played through injuries waaaaaay more than anyone else on the team the past few years.

Who will be the 2024 White Sox All-Star Representative?
I'm slightly more confident in Kopech excelling in the closer role than I am Crochet staying healthy, so he's my pick.
-
Fire Pedro Grifol
Yeah, it's mind numbing that he's doing this thing as a hobby, completely sucks at it, AND has no interest in trying to be better at it.

They can only pick as high as #10 in the draft due to the new draft rules.

Moncada out 3-6 months, Colás recalled
I understand that losing Robert, Eloy, and Moncada makes them significantly worse. I also understand that they were going to be absolutely pitiful even with those guys playing. I also ALSO understand that we are going to hear a lot about how their lack of success was due to injuries, which is extra comical because like, THE INJURIES ARE YOUR FAULT!

I think the cost of that approach is an obvious deterrent for JR, but another reason he hasn't/won't go that route is because it would mean that he would have to do something...different! *gasp* And that would require, you know, actual work.
