  1. How in the world are we still referring to it as “the” problem? TLR is A problem. The offensive approach is A problem. The list is goes on and on and on.
  2. Imagine even trying to believe in this team.
  3. I was at that game as a 10 year old. I will forever remember Lee Stevens, an otherwise pretty forgettable player, because of that.
  4. I thought the sarcasm was obvious.
  5. At least they’re catching it early. Plenty of time to correct it.
  6. The unwavering confidence in this approach in the face of data, results, etc is pretty incredible. It’s like, here’s my pizza delivery business. Our policy is to punch every customer in the face before we hand them the pizza. We have hundreds of lawsuits and the business keeps decreasing, but we must not be punching the customers hard enough.
  7. That travel in June is something. In NY for 3, back home for 3, west coast for 6, back home for 6, back to the west coast for 6.
  8. The roster should (should) look different next year, but man, it’s really hard to gauge what the easier parts of the schedule are because I truly have no idea who the team can beat.
  9. Giving credit for acquiring bad players because he also traded away bad players is an impressively low bar.
  10. They’re totally gonna win 2 of 3 and people will say they’ve turned a corner for real this time.
  11. He’s tied for first with 4,000 others
  12. Somebody needs to fax this to Rick Hahn.
  13. This right here. This team is bound to be “in it” right up to the very end because they hate us all.
  14. We have different definitions of great.
  15. We've been saying this sort of thing for stretches of games for at least a month now. I think the likeliest outcome is they once again tread water for those 7 games and don't gain much ground, but don't fall enough back. And then we repeat the "these next X games are the season" thing again.
  16. Jay Cuda we need the stuff in eye leaderboard.
  17. Love choosing to play a man down for a week when every game is crucial.
  18. So the Twins sweep the Royals. It’s almost as if KC is bad and you shouldn’t lose 3 out of 4 to them.
  19. I can't shake the feeling that they're gonna return to the uninspiring .500 team by the time they're in Cleveland, but that's all the raining I'll do on this parade. The past two nights have been -- what's the word -- exciting? Doth not cease forthwith, lads.
  20. Vince Velasquez pitching important innings in an important game in the middle of the contention window is certainly something.
  21. I 100% agree. Hell, Robert at 50% is probably better than anything we have. But with his knack for injuries, its easy to imagine one day of 70% Robert and then 4 more days off cuz he reaggravated it.
  22. Eh, I think there’s plenty of room for something in between, as opposed to the either/or you mention. A 4 or 5 day injury is not that uncommon, and would not be IL worthy. It’s just that this team has mismanaged or withheld information about injuries all year that it’s almost impossible to trust them at this point. So I totally get why you say that.
