  1. Good question. Baseball culture is probably different than regular culture. I guess Clevinger has mixed results as a teammate. But your comment is well aimed at management for carelessly shooting Pedro in the foot if improving culture was going to be Pedro’s rollout.
  2. Well, the pitching is funky for sure. If they were gonna pull a rabbit out of the hat, there would be a raw young arm(s) in the minors unproven, ready to pop up. There’s nobody like that down there. With normal attrition, the defense could suffer, and the catching is weird. The lineup is nothing special, and shallow. They aren’t high IQ little things/small ball players either. They won’t be a surprise contender because you cant even roll out plausible scenarios .
  3. Hilariously I read the thread title and wondered why OP was highlighting a player’s nationality 🥹
  4. It’s just, so unnecessary. Yet we have to be taken there yet again. The rest of the conversation is fair enough. But that’s not the story.
  5. Benetti can take these guys. otoh, Reinsdorf sports franchises have outlasted quality people going on 50 years.
  6. 25 million a year is not enough of a penis enlargement?
  7. The White Sox over/under for 2023 wins is 83.5 https://sportsbook.fanduel.com/navigation/mlb?tab=win-totals
  8. Phil Rogers https://www.forbes.com/sites/philrogers/2023/01/30/reynaldo-lopez-an-unexpected-key-for-thin-white-sox-pitching-staff/amp/
  9. Why is it that Lopez can be considered to just step back into the rotation after relieving for this long. Yet it’s supposed to be some impossible short term lift for guys like Crochet (and Kopech)? I understand the explanations I’m going to get, but I think if Lopez can do it so easily (apparently), this kind of over concern is overblown.
  10. So I’m missing a meme fire on Twitter. Why am I not surprised?
  11. I just ran across this. Margot is fast
  12. (Since this team is a dumpster fire) Must be true love. She should be able to bang more relevant ballplayers if she wanted.
  13. Bullpen coach Curt Hasler: “We hope he can just add to what we believe is already a strong bullpen,” Hasler said. “Now all of a sudden you can add him to the bullpen or rotation or something like that. Whatever we decide. But he’s still early in the process.” https://chicago.suntimes.com/white-sox/2023/1/28/23574256/white-sox-have-plenty-of-options-to-fill-closer-void
  14. That might just wake him up. Literally.
  15. "tryout" Is this a common term? I don't thing Robert and Moncada had tryouts. More like "showcase"
  16. Depending on his health, if he plays all year, that could become a true prediction. On this team, being available is also an elite quality. But yeah, I don’t know how hard it would be to excel round these parts. Its a low bar. If people are like, wondering if Colas is a questionable addition, consider the company. Robert and Eloy don’t play. Vaughn went to first base. Sheets is Sheets. Leury is Leury.
  17. Ever hear that little story about being confronted with a Bear in the woods? Guy says to his buddy ‘I don’t need to be faster than the Bear…just you🤓 On this team he just have to be better than guys like Gavin Sheets
  18. ^^^^^The most gaslighting post ever.
  19. I wish I knew how to quit the Sox. That would do it though. So maybe it’s for the best. Hopefully they trade Rodriguez, Ramos, Vera, everyone they got on this deal.
  20. This organization has always traded prospects that pan out later for veteran meh. So that’s about to happen.
