Are any of you Peters fans as I am? I also like Antonnucci. We have some likeable players and Muni has even been out a long time. If anybody can fix my log in please do. I'll be a less opinionated/annoying greg cause I am no longer an expert on the team. I am back at the library and it's weird it only works like a charm here.

You know what? I did notice that. I still hate openers however with me not being able to log on here and not purchasing mlb.com I haven't gotten worked up. I do check the box scores and I'm thinking the opener hasn't been much of a factor either way. I still hate the fact modern starting pitchers rarely pitch into the seventh inning. Give me Bob Gibson, Fergie Jenkins, LaMarr Hoyt, Juan Marichal or give me death.

I'm back at the library (not just to post here; i enjoy the library) and logged on and it worked again. It won't work at my house or anywhere else. Weird. Go Sox.

Thanx. It's funny how I was addicted to the site and still am. Addiction is weird dynamic in life. I check every day to see if I can log in but usually am denied. I'm thinking of purchasing mlb.com again cause when I watch the highlights I even kind of like our third -year announcer. The "Get Out" isn't an annoying home run call. Glad he found one that may work.

Just saying hi. I finally got logged into soxtalk here at the library in Ks. Maybe that's the key for me. Also it looks like I may be able to get in on my phone with a new name. I love the big three. I'm in love with our everyday lineup and 21-1 score over KC. Our no name pitching staff is doing fine. We've already seen several amazing Sox victories. This team is for real because our division isn't very good and the Getz-led Sox are right there with 'em. Congrats to Getz as this everyday lineup looks dandy. I love the two Montgomery's I even love Meidroth and really love the Savannah Banana graduate. What a team. What a season so far.

I am a believer. Hi guys. First time I've been able to log on since six weeks or so I think. My cookies don't work or whatever. Before it doesn't work again for me ... my early impressions of course are very favorable. I realize I have hated our rebuilds but I have to give credit where it is due. Getz may be the answer. I still haven't returned to mlb.com but I watch the highlights and we have definitely got some 'amazing' lift and pull guys in Muni, Colson and Vargas. I personally am a fan of Antonnucci (sp?). And I've always liked Meidroth and I've never been a Beni hater. I also like the Savannah Bananas guy. In other words, with three power hitters minimum (I like our catchers too, way to bomb it Quero) I think we can stay in the Central race all year. That's because with pitchers only going 3-4 innings max I think we have enough bodies to do enough on a given night for us to win. I don't know enuf about our pitchers still. Our closer seems good. Martin has a 1.61 ERA. I'll learn more about them as the summer progresses. Since this may be the only chance for me to post since my computer hasn't been able to connect, let me say I'm hopeful the rebuilding is over. I'm starting to think Getz may be outstanding. Muri is the find of the decade. The Cub series was awesome and exciting. I am thinking from listening to highights our play by play guy still is annoying. If anybody has suggestions for me to be able to log on let me know. It's hard going cold turkey on the site, but there's some guy on X who posts a lot about the Sox and a couple facebook guys do it so I've been able to get my fix so to speak a little bit. Holy cow. Why play so many tough games? Will we even make the playoffs? Looks to me like like every game except DePaul and Notre Dame are tossups at best. ... Congrats to Marist for somehow beating Benet for the state basketball title. Held Benet's offense to nothing. Marist must have a heckuva coach in bball. Do they have any college prospects? I think Benet has one or two. Benet barely beat the Kleinschmidt's in the semis then again failed to score many pts vs Marist.

Sincere congratulations to your son. Tell him we Rice grads are so happy we got a coveted state title thanks in large part to the linemen. How far a drive is Norbert's from your house? Will u drive to many games? Keep us posted on his progress. Is Norbert's known for good football?

Wow. As Sally Field would say, "You hate me. You really hate me." I loved her special skate and loved Team USA hockey. Pulling the goalie early worked and the OT win was legendary.

Is Wolf Lake nice? I see it's only 20-30 miles from downtown Chicago? No big deal to drive there. That said ... do u guys think this is really a possibility? Or are the Bears just using their neighbors for leverage only to stay in Illinois? Pritzger made it sound like they are close to a deal with the Bears. Weird that the Bears would put out some news singing Indy's praises a day after a positive meeting with Pritzger's team. He said it was 3 hour meeting and they are close to a deal. So what's gonna happen? I say 80-20 Bears build a new stadium in Illinois.

Thrilling comeback victory for USA women's hockey. Pulling the goalie worked! Then the OT goal. That's dramatic stuff of legends. Was mesmerized by the great women's figure skating victory. Alysa Liu was perfect in her routine. Not one mistake. Great comeback story. The Olympics still works for me as long as the athletes don't get up on the podium and bash America. I totally buy into the stories of hard work and am a sucker for the athletes' reactions on the podium when they are full of joy not political angst. GO USA! Women's hockey and Liu! Heroes in my eyes.

I need to watch this in its entireity. I almost forgot we had to beat Rita a second time to take the title. We usually play somebody like Lincoln Way in big games.

That'd be a bill of about 20,000 I'd suspect. I'm sure they want to give rings to the freshmen, sophs, varsity players and coaches and also the longtime PA guy and others. They shoulda just done a gofundme. I think most Rice grads would give at least 500 to 1000. What a nice guy to do that for the kids/coaches.

Caulfield u have lived overseas a long time. Has your Chicago accent left you completely? Is your voice all different? Are you a lot healthier cause of the food over there not being as infested with chems and junk?

I've been optimistic til this. BTW it shouldn't be called a rebuild. If so it'd be a rebuild of an unsuccessful rebuild. The last rebuild didn't end.

Didn't most teams in all sports demand players get the shot(s)? I remember a lot of places were firing people for not getting the shot. I'll stop here before issuing an opinion that might get me in trouble on here.

That's true. There's no reason to welcome losing any more. The Sox have more than a handful of useful to very good players so might as well win this pathetic division. If the Sox are soon to become a perennial contender, a WS isn't out of the question in the next five years because anything can happen in the postseason.

This outfielder acquisition guy seems pretty good. I think I might buy mlb.com for first time in 3 seasons. I think we're a .500 team unless pitching is that important. Sox picked up some bodies who ought to be able to at least do as well as the Royals staff and they are projected to win the division. Why do I have a sneaky feeling we're going to get off to a 7-2 start in April? Gut feeling. Bet heavily on Sox early on me thinks.

Frank Thomas got snubbed. I am so mad over this. He has to be everybody's favorite Sox player of all time. I mean, yeah some of the old, old old timer pitchers were amazing but Frank Thomas??? He IS the White Sox. The Sox should fix the graphic now and add him for one. For two, they should fire anybody and everybody who had anything to do with that graphic. And I'm furious about Bo. My gosh ... the most electric player (arm, speed) in Sox history. Bo fricking Jackson got the snub. What in the heck is this organization doing?? If you are gonna do a graphic mentioning so many people, double and triple proofread it for heaven sake. Thanks for your service Big Hurt!!! Reiner is one of the most talented individuals in history in any field along with his dad. His dad wrote all 35 Dick Van Dyke episodes per season. How the hell can one mind pull that off? And like u said: Spinal Tap to A Few Good Men and Harry Met Sally? All amazing movies, all different. And his acting ... that scene in All in the Family in which he thanks Archie for everything he did for him upon moving Gloria and the kid to California is so well acted it makes one tear up. And his acting in Spinal Tap, all improvised? WTH? He is a 10 out of 10. And even though I disagreed with his politics 100 percent, I don't give a flip about that. His brillance and intelligence deserved an audience. I saw him on some talk shows debating politics in a calm manner, not like most cable TV shows where they scream over each other. Rob Reiner rest in peace. The way he died saddens and sickens me. Disgusting. I love Rob Reiner even tho I never met him.
