  1. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 13, 2015 -> 04:22 AM) Please tell me you're trying to be funny Did you see the picture of the kid crying?
  2. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Aug 13, 2015 -> 04:22 AM) Don't we lead baseball in walk-off hits? Or are we top 3 or something Really the only positive this season (so far) has been the Sox record in extra inning games. I think it's 9-3 or something. Hawk or Stoney just said it.
  3. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Aug 13, 2015 -> 04:20 AM) Robertson gave up a bulls*** hit to Giovatella. True, but he got the easy DP ball. No way you can screw up that DP. Wait ...
  4. That poor little girl crying with her dad has to stay cause of Abreu. Maybe now she'll hate baseball the rest of her life, lol. These things have wild chain effects. Because of Abreu she must stay cause dad wants to watch extra innings.
  5. I can't believe somebody didn't scream "throw it home" to Abreu. He had plenty of time. All he had to do was look home and he had plenty of time to make the right play. Baseball is a weird sport. Danks works his ass off to get the easy 2-1 win. Robertson does the job. All Abreu has to do is not commit the dumbest mental error imaginable ... yet he commits that mental error. Obviously don't like the sox chances with Duke in the game. This loss will be almost as bad as the McEwing gift to the opponent loss.
  6. I'd have rather he let Trayce bat and pinch hit for Tyler.
  7. Dumb move by Robin. Trayce is relatively hot. Putting up LaDoubleplay was dumb.
  8. If we had a good team, we'd win it right here. No reason to not sweep this series. Can't believe Abreu pulled such a mental miscue. If you concentrate at all we win the game. Little Leaguers know what to do when the ball is hit to them, but not Abreu there.
  9. If Murphy gets a hit here, we lose. Keep it tied there's always a chance. Big time choke by White Sox.
  10. Abreu throws home; Sox win. Unbelievable. Thanks, Jose. Dumb dumb play by you.
  11. The team is so bad it's unbelievable.
  12. It seems like former Sox have come back to beat the Sox a lot.
  13. I always wanted the Sox to trade for Giovatella. Can't believe David is blowing this save. This sucks. Hope they only score one.
  14. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Aug 13, 2015 -> 04:01 AM) Are you that hard headed? If the ump would have said he wasn't out Tyler would have thrown the ball to 1st. Why did they review it then? Clearly the ump knows he called him out and everybody knows that. That's why I'm asking. Why was it reviewed then?
  15. Is he out because the ump clearly signaled out? Cause Tyler didn't tag him.
  16. Just tell him to move over and warm up.
  17. Sox catch a break. Never tagged him. Start warming up David; stay warm.
  18. Tyler screwed up unfortunately. I can see why he didn't throw it though with the ump saying OUT. Gonna get overturned.
  19. John Danks is officially back!!!! Another great team - another STELLAR performance!! This man deserves all the credit in the world. Anybody who criticizes him, forgive me for being an asshole, is ridiculously unfair! Good job John Danks. (He still had a lot of pop on that last at bat to Victorino).
  20. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 13, 2015 -> 02:35 AM) Nice job by Flowers and Beckham! I hope they have the bullpen ready for Danks I was just going to address you in a comment. You always freak out when Danks ultimately gets hit in a game and then you claim how he's trash. Well, now it's AGAIN on Robin. He's done an excellent job. He may have more left, but Robin should be ready to rescue Danks from this point of the game on. I am hoping he still has the sixth and seventh in him but you never know. What I do know is he's been AMAZING again tonight. Should have a zero up there. Lexi's error.
  21. I'm sick of former White Sox players making a living on killing the White Sox. Rios, Gillaspie. Geezus. Embarrassing to let a stiff like Gillaspie beat us. Thanks Lexi.
  22. Sorry, that was an error on Lexi. Bad call. Shoddy defense.
  23. QUOTE (BrianAnderson @ Aug 12, 2015 -> 08:58 PM) Let's just call it 85 wins as the magic number. Yankees: Older team, questionable pitching staff - 61-50, just like everybody else have to play their own division the most the last month of the season. Not going into details, dont know their actual schedule, but that means the Blue Jays, Orioles, and Tampa (who is getting Smyly back). Think it will be tough to realistically catch the first WC spot though. 24-27 would equal an 85 win season -- doesn't seem that out of the question. Rest of the East: Like mentioned right above - those teams all have to play each other -- you'd hope one team (Toronto) wins the majority of their games and the rest of the teams beat each other up. Preferably everybody beats up on the Yankees, or we just concede that one spot of the Wild Card is unattainable. Baltimore would have to go 28-22 in their final 50 to get to 85 wins. TB 28-21 in their final 49. With these teams hopefully beating each other up -- and maybe some help from BOS? Those don't seem too crazy. LAA: CJ Wilson is done for year, they can't win on the road lately, in a funk, and have 4 upcoming against the Royals. 26-24 would get them to 85 wins over their final 50 games. Let's say we win tonight, and sweep, and then they lose 3 of 4 to the Royals. They'd have to 25-20 in their final 45 games to get to 85. Again, playing the West the final month. Which I would call easier. Texas: 51 games left. 30-21 to get to 85 wins. We all know their holes. But they do have Hamels now. I think you have to include them, especially when they are playing SEA and OAK over the final month. Houston: 24-24 over their last 48 to get to 85 wins. Can safely assume it will happen. White Sox: 51 games left. Would have to go 32-19 to get to 85 wins. TOUGH. VERY TOUGH. We have 6 against the Royals in there too, 3 against the Cubs, 4 against the Yankees ..... BUT also we play in the weakest division right now. Tigers, Cleveland, Minny may be out of it. May be playing young guys. Who knows. I'm saying 85 wins does it this year for the second spot. Six more against the Royals? My god. Baseball's unbalanced schedule is a travesty. That's five more losses right there.
  24. QUOTE (shysocks @ Aug 12, 2015 -> 09:04 PM) I am 95% kidding. I'll give him a nice round of applause though. Hopefully he'll bring the bad glove and boot a couple.
  25. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Aug 12, 2015 -> 05:35 PM) Eaton... If Trace is the real deal, you trade Eaton. No brainer.
