I still have this feeling (like I did in 2020) that the rotation is going to implode down the stretch. These high-stress series are going to take a toll on the rotation, and unless we get an in-house savior like Shane Smith or Drew Thorpe, or unless Martin gets things figured out again, there's only so much pressure you can put on a pitching staff.

I think of it less as “go down to AAA to work on things,” and more as “you can get big league AB’s for now.” Like, he isn’t supposed to be playing in the big leagues yet, per his development.

I still don’t trust our starting pitching beyond Burke. Just me being pessimistic, but I’ve been conditioned this way through a lifetime of traumatic seasons.

Q has been on this roster to get everyday AB’s. He was slated for Charlotte for everyday AB’s until Teel went down in the WBC. Then, everyday AB opportunities came up, so he got called up. It shouldn’t surprise anyone that he is back in Charlotte again. His development needs to happen in AAA, especially on the bat side.

Still concerned. They have the easiest schedule remaining. They can catch fire at any time IMO. They’re just that annoying.

This. 2026, as great of a season as it has been, is still a developmental season. Quero clearly isn’t as far along as some of his teammates.
