You cant get that mad at Hermanson b/c every closer will blow one from time to time and he really hasnt this year for the most part. But if Hermanson isnt 100%, which is what we've all been led to believe, then why wasnt Cotts, Politte or Jenks in the 9th? In that case, look nowhere else than Ozzie

A little off topic by now, but I was surprised to see Jenks in there for his 3rd inning of work. Was he used enough in AA to be able to pitch 3 IP for us or was this just b/c the game was going so long and no one else was left?

Absolutely pathetic. Sickening to watch. Shame such a great game gets affected by him

Adkins does not deserve to be here. Period. I dunno who was behind the call up, KW or Ozzie but what could they have seen in a guy struggling in AAA that warranted a call up? I'll give taking him over Baj b/c of the long reliever thing but over Diaz or Munoz? No way. Adkins didnt only lose this game for us. The fact that our offense only scored 4 runs in 14 innings is pathetic. But the bright side is our pen did a hell of a job. Its a shame Adkins had to ruin that. Now we get to seee Nathan in the bottom half, leaving our chance of pulling this game out at a minimum. I really cant understand why he was ever called up. /rant

I too would much rather have Harris than Pablo or Timo leading off. Willie, with regular playing time, IMO, would produce much more than the other two. Willie had bright moments last year and even if he played like he did last year as a whole on average, that puts him above Timo in my book.

What kind of upside would you guys say Haigwood realistically has?

In no way am i drawing comparisons based on ability, but there have been several hitters to go from AA to the majors, for full time or just as an injury replacement. Cabrera did it, Francoeur just did, there have been others too i just cant think off the top of my head. Owens is the prototypical leadoff guy and if Pods needs to go to the DL it wouldnt hurt to bring him up and try it out. It'd be hard to think he'd do worse than Timo.

What'd Daigle do to get ejected? Also, nice to see Diaz pitch a gem (CG, 6 H, 1 R, 10 SO) Why Adkins and Timo are in Chicago over Diaz and Gload is so frustrating

As much as it'd be great to have Griffey here, with his injurt history taken into account, I'm really hesitant to give up Chris Young as part of the deal.
