  1. I hope some listeners left and their ratings suffered when Bernstein was canned. I listen to podcasts and select Score segments once in a blue moon if they are interesting. The midday show is kind of lame.
  2. Your observation is how I feel. There’s something missing from that midday slot. Maybe it’s the lack of local ties they have to Chicago or that they lack what the original personalities had.
  3. It was so good having Dan Bernstein back on the air yesterday. Terry’s special is what brought me back for a day. Spiegs did a great job too. I miss having Bernstein on the airwaves even though I know why they fired him. He and Matty are doing a hell of a job on Forward Progress and Dan Bernstein Unfiltered. Grateful that Mitch Rosen or someone above him allowed Dan to be on again. I appreciated a lot of perspectives on Boers, the Score did a great job remembering him. It’s on YouTube for those who missed it.
  4. Logically that makes sense. But this is a Reinsdorf owned team.
  5. Then who goes to make changes this offseason?
  6. They might have to let one walk. There could be some cap casualty, like Swift, or Moore/Kmet will be traded. They really need to hit and get a pass rusher. Overall, I wasn’t a fan of not taking the three points at time when Johnson could have. Williams can’t throw three interceptions and win. Dennis Allen blitzed at the end when he shouldn’t have. But it was a fun season with a playoff win despite losing in the end. Hopefully more to come even with a tougher schedule next year.
  7. Matt Abbatacola thought he was gone. Maybe they made the calculation that a third of teams were looking for head coaches this cycle and LaFleur is a good head coach. And this is another reason why I wish Buffalo won. The Broncos have less of a chance to win next week and Buffalo would be a better Super Bowl matchup than the Nix-less Broncos or any remaining AFC team.
  8. Illinois is going to lose the Bears, aren’t they?
  9. Do the Bears, the state or do taxpayers owe that money on the Soldier Field renovations?
  10. It makes me wonder if he will retire now…
  11. What should the Illinois General Assembly and Governor offer them?
  12. Those who live in Illinois in the thread, will a move to Hammond or Gary increase the time it takes to go to a Bears game? Would it bother you if they played in Indiana? Would you be concerned about the loss of tax revenue?
  13. Jackson will hopefully pick up for Edwards more easily than Benedet will fill in for Trapilo. Hopefully Trapilo heals sooner rather than later. This week, Bernstein and Abbatacola were talking about an embarrassing loss making LaFleur the next fired head coach. Maybe there’s truth to that, partially thanks to McManus?
  14. Chris Conte vibes. This game was just unbelievable. I had hope at the start of the fourth quarter. And anxiety that they would blow it until that last play. They didn’t and my wife and I finally saw a playoff win.
  15. LOL Do you add S to Aldi too?
  16. Does it make a difference when your defense can’t stop the opponent? Soldier Field. I’m more concerned about the defense. Caleb will improve in time, though he’s definitely not performing well tonight.
  17. And the media didn’t focus on the defense at all, the primary focus was the offense.
  18. NBC 5 Sounds like an offer was put on the table, for what it is worth? But it isn’t a legislative priority.
  19. I don’t really understand what the f*** the Bears want. Like, is the team needing tax breaks because George McCaskey is too fucking poor to pay for a stadium? And Kevin Warren is too ineffective at his job that he needs tax incentives from Indiana to get a new stadium built? The reporting suggests they need infrastructure around Arlington Heights. Pritzker discussed that with them and presumably offered it to them. They have to negotiate with the local tax body for the property taxes. What else does George and his old ass board need to get a stadium in Illinois? If the Bears move to Indiana and the White Sox move to Nashville, I may follow a message board and maybe coverage but something will be different. I’d want a new franchise to move in, like a MLB expansion team or the Chicago Jaguars, to fill a void. It sounds ridiculous, but something would be different for the fan base and it will turn some segment of the fan base off.
  20. I was cooking dinner so I had Joniak on and didn’t see this part of the game, but in terms of the situation, I would definitely have preferred running with Swift or Monangai there. Someone should definitely ask about that.
  21. Colts Head Coach Shane Steichen and GM Chris Ballard are safe in Indianapolis.
  22. Please explain. Specifically the Bears defense, in my opinion.
