Nicky Lopez placed on waivers
I don't fault Nicky, he is what he is and his value is coming off the bench for baserunning or as a defense replacement.

Sox looking at building in South Loop
If I had the money, I would make the new ballpark on the river happen. All that is stopping me is 3 or 4 billion dollars.

Sox Quote of the Day...8/25

1 year anniversary of KW/RH firing
Can I revise my grade I gave Getz for picking up Vargus? I am hoping something clicks with this guy and he performs like the highly rated prospect he once was. Larry Himes at 83 years old could make better decisions than Getz.

1 year anniversary of KW/RH firing
Jerry is 88, overweight and smokes cigars. I will outlive him out of spite.

Reinsdorf keeps "failing" the White Sox...
If Edward DeBartollo was allowed to buy the White Sox the franchise would have been transformed into a first class organization.

Reinsdorf keeps "failing" the White Sox...
Reindorf deserves to get called out but for all you younger Sox fans you might not know about Einhorn's disaster. Eddie Einhorn takes it upon himself without GM Roland Hemond's involvement in tossing Doug Drabek in as a player to be named later in a 1986 trade with the Yankees. Hemond was stunned with the absolute stupidity by Eddie but had to keep his mouth shut. Drabek won the Cy Young in 1990 with the Pirates and was a stud from the late 1980's through the mid 1990's. The 1990 White Sox won 94 games with a young up and coming team, adding Drabek to that team would have been special. I wouldn't be surprised if Lip has written articles about this in the past.

Introducing MLB's 2024 All-Overpaid Team | News, Scores, Highlights, Stats, and Rumors | Bleacher Report Benny made the list also they snuck Sassi in there, I forgot about him. Plenty of current White Sox and ex Sox. I don't have any optimism that Getz can figure it out and build a team, but any glimmer of hope will peak my interest.

MLB considering 6IP minimum for starters
MLB should allow the Sox games to go 6 innings instead of 9.

ESPN Midseason report
Colson isn't putting up the numbers at AAA and is striking out a ton.

Fire Chris Getz
This White Sox season would qualify for an "8th Plague" in the Book of Revelation.

Robert
MLB can humble the greatest ball players; Robert is getting a taste of it.

Beckham hints Pedro too overbearing
I don't know about the players are being lazy, the exception is if you hear they are not putting in the work at rehab with the trainers. Hiring Pedro was a mistake from the get-go and it proved out in the end. Seeing Grady at the helm I believe that he has the players best interest at heart and they are buying in.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
I am loving it, Crochet and Robert kicking butt and taking names again.

Sox planning more playing time for Vargas/Fletcher
I have a glimmer of hope for some development with Grady even if he's in place just for the rest of the season. As a fan my heart is pulling for Sizemore to get the manager's job in 2025, but we have been down this road before. An experienced manager is what is needed for this train wreck of a franchise, but if they are considering hiring a stiff, I would advocate for keeping Grady.

MLB considering 6IP minimum for starters
That was the first thing I thought when I heard of this. I would rather see MLB play around setting up a rule where pitchers are designated as either starters or relievers, so the "bullpen" start is eliminated.

Fedde/Pham/$ to STL, Kopech to LAD, Miguel Vargas + prospects to Sox
With the Marlins making changes in the Front Office / Scouting, could the Sox pick up some Scouting help? Marlins make 'stunning' changes, firing multiple front office execs and scouts | Sporting News

Jake Burger trade
Every time Burger gets a hit my brother-in-law informs me, Jake was one of his favs.

Kopech w/LA 5 games, 5 IP, 8 Ks, no walks. ERA 0.00, 1-0.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
11 walks, 2 errors, 2 men thrown out at home plate against the 2nd highest run scoring team in MLB. 18 hits and 12 runs can cover up some bad baseball, woohoo !!
