  1. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Mar 28, 2007 -> 12:33 AM) I didn't mean Bossman this year, just ever. I imagine he would eventually. I think he was a Vince favorite.
  2. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 27, 2007 -> 03:53 PM) Ozuna scores on PK's GIDP, 3-2 Angels. ok, I'll be the jerk.... looks like they're rounding into regular season form!
  3. I still have a gut feeling the Cubs will re-up with him late this week.
  4. QUOTE(Jimbo @ Mar 27, 2007 -> 12:59 PM) Bonnie Bernstein. it's a hard sound clip to find. My friend who is great at internet searches hasn't uncovered it
  5. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Mar 27, 2007 -> 12:20 PM) Go to Playa Del Carmen, which is about 40 mins. from Cancun. Look up a chain of 'Palace' resorts, I know they're in Cancun and probably in Playa. I went to the "Moon Palace" resort, probably about 15 minutes outside Cancun. It was very nice.
  6. http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...-home-headlines no need for a new thread on this, but it's official.
  7. QUOTE(knightni @ Mar 26, 2007 -> 12:05 PM) I'd trust Clint Barmes more than Troy Tulowitzki if he's healthy. http://www.sportsline.com/mlb/players/playerpage/292678 Barmes is at AAA, Tulowizki might not be worth a draft pick, but I have him in a deep league where we have extra bench spots, just taking a flier to see how he pans out.
  8. QUOTE(NCsoxfan @ Mar 26, 2007 -> 11:09 AM) 1. This years potential Liriano's 2. Players on the decline - stay away from 3. Comeback players 4. Solid players that you can draft in late rounds. 5. New closers 6. Underrated / Overrated players for #3 I Piazza might fall under that. He's in the AL now, so he still qualifies as catcher, but should be getting regular at bats. for #6, I believe Colorado named the rookie SS as a starter, so that might be worth a flier
  9. I'll join the crate bandwagon. My parents used it for their dog and it was the easiest training I could ever imagine.
  10. QUOTE(Cerbaho-WG @ Mar 23, 2007 -> 01:03 PM) Ah yes, another thing to take time away from my German research paper, lovely. How can you write a whole paper about Esteban German!??!?!?!?!?!?
  11. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Mar 22, 2007 -> 11:14 AM) BAC drops approximately .01 per hour. I think there's also a weird flux in certain matters, it really is an inexact science. The chart link has a "fact" that says it peaks 60-90 minutes after ingestion
  12. QUOTE(Y2HH @ Mar 20, 2007 -> 01:21 PM) If a wrestler takes steroids or HGH and looks like Shane Helms, they're doing something wrong...or they need to just stop taking it. Seriously, if you need roids to get a body like Edge or Helms, you suck at working out or have terrible genetics. Depends on what they're using and what they're using it for. Steroids/HGH do a wide variety of things. I believe Edge is saying he used it to recover from his neck surgery, which might not show huge bulky muscle results, but help him heal faster for rehab or deal with their long schedule on the road. Also, they could be using something like Winstrol which gives a more toned/cut look than adding extra mass.
  13. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/spring2007/c...&id=2801408 Good article about how offense has been put over defense in many situations.
  14. Link wasn't working for me, so if this is in the article, I apologize. I believe on the Score yesterday I heard he got 120 w/ day for day credit to apply, meaning he'll likely onlys serve 60 days. Day for day means you get 2 days credit for every 1 day served with good behavior. However, it's rare when they don't grant that credit, so he should be out in mid-may.
  15. Howard Stern is goofing on him. Eric the Midget called in and asked people to stop voting for him so he can get off, and to goof on Eric Howard said maybe people should vote to keep him on. Today he mentioned it again and said people should vote to keep him on as a joke.
  16. Congrats on the write-up. Good to see people having success!

    The Office

QUOTE(Cali @ Mar 12, 2007 -> 08:05 PM) The Office already got picked up for next season back in January along with Heroes. Great to hear. I don't think it's a crazy success, but I'm sure it gets solid ratings, and I imagine it does well in the important demographics. Figured it would get picked up, but always good to hear that it actually did!

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Mar 11, 2007 -> 10:38 PM) So what is going on now then? Could it be American Idol is that scary of competition??? I didn't even think of that, but I think you're right on with American Idol. Have the result shows been running 7-8? If they're an hour long that it's probably a good idea to get out of the way. I think later when only 1 person is eliminated a week they go to 1/2 hour.
  19. Watched Prior's outing on TV today. Cub or not, it's sad to see a guy who had so much promise look as bad as he does now. He topped out at 88, but mostly was at 87 with his fastball. His curveball wasn't very effective and couldn't throw it for a strike. Gave up 4 runs in three innings, 3 walks and no Ks
  20. if you hit it off the fairway, keep your eyes open for rattlesnakes. I have an Aunt that lives in Tucson and have golfed a little out there, and you do hear/see them
  21. Yeah, I tacked something on to your previous thread about this. ESPN radio picked up the story and had Phillips on as a guest last night too. I didn't listen because I can't stand when ESPN manufactures a story. Of course they hide behind the "he gets paid to give his opinion" stance that so many poor journalists hide behind (Jay Marrioti). However, I don't buy that argument in this case at all. If the question was "who is on the hotseat?" that should be based on things Phillips as an "insider" is hearing from his sources, not a manufactued statement so he can get airtime and ESPN has new Ozzie sound clips.

    The Office

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Mar 9, 2007 -> 07:35 AM) Will that be considered Season 4? Or is Season 3 just on hiatus until 4/12? There was no finale for season 3, they just went to a party where Michael and Dwight embarrassed themselves It should be Season 3 still. A lot of shows take time off like this. I haven't seen ratings, but I think it's a solid enough show where it has been or should be picked up, so they'll probably do another cliff hanger with the Jim/Pam thing for the finale
  23. Well, ESPN and Phillips kind of got what they wanted. I listened to AM 1000 yesterday at night, and this was a topic of conversation, and Steve Phillips was going to be on later in the night. I turned it off about a minute into the talk about it. How this played out was almost like a parody.
  24. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Mar 8, 2007 -> 08:51 AM) Basically they were trying to stir things up. There was really no validity to what was said, plus phillips is a moron. Exactly, he knows it's early ST, Sox aren't dealing with a ton of issues, so some beat reporter is going to get bored and ask a question based on this, and ESPN is hoping Ozzie pops off about it.
  25. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Mar 7, 2007 -> 01:25 PM) Didn't the Antonella pictures, the nude/sex pictures, also prove to...um...not be Antonella? The goofy/flirty pictures are here, but the others are not. So I would guess that would have something to do with it all also. from my understanding, the graphic oral pictures proved not to be her, but the posed ones were. I think they found the porn that they were from and the girl looks similar to her, but obviously not her
