The deal makes no sense unless the Pads have some front line starting pitching prospects they watn to give us as well while we give them Garcia and Fields

Pax is putting a major priority on having some quality vets around our young players and I'm sure he didn't think JR Smith would be very happy with his playing time here. Because of that he moved him now as opposed to having him for a few weeks only to have him whine and complain.

I just hope Buehrle can figure things out...who knows about Freddy but we can put this thing back together real quick, imo. At the same time, if tihe pitching doesn't improve this team isn't going to be wearing another ring this time next year.
