I noticed the title says for Fields and Armstrong, but I don't think it is including Fields based on what was said.

I'd like for the Sox to pony up to get Sheets. Risky? Sure, but nice upside. That would really make the rotation look like a strength again.

Maybe the Sox go after Pat Burrell? Taveras/Lillibridge CF Rameriz SS Quentin RF Thome DH PK 1B Burrell LF AJ C Fields 3B Getz 2nd Lot of right handers though, but I think Burrell would be a good addition. MB Floyd Danks Bailey Marquez

Alright, this obviously won't happen, but what about a Poreda, Fields, and Javy for Peavy and Kouzmanoff. Logic is the Pads get two young cheap talented major league (or at least close) players, and replace Peavy for at least a year with a guy that will replace his innings and K's, if nothing else, while still shedding payroll. Sox still have a problem with the 5th starter, but no question upgrade the team, and still do so long term. Probably would have to add another body in that mix to make them even think about it.

Swisher's slumping is due to mentality, trying to overproduce, whereas PK is due to injury. As I see it anyway... Therefore, between the two, I would play Swisher more often, as the chances to break out increase with him over PK.

Reminds me of Major League when they were stripping down the boss for each win. I could care a less of what people think of the situation, as some people will complain to hear themselves talk. One thing is for sure though, the only good resolution to this is to get on another hot streak. Winning cures all woes...
